I have seen Kings of Leon live 5 times, and I will firmly say they are one of the best, if not the best, live performances I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few bands. They do not disappoint, and Aha Shake Heartbreak is my personal favorite album, although all of them are great.

I don't know. I'm really glad I discovered KOL early. I think that Europe really liked that kind of gritty rock that the early KOL had. Some reviews of KOL said they're a sad attempt at Lynrd Skynrd. Maybe KOL was just another band to USA. I'm not sure about all of the reception to KOL's cd OBTN though. The band even said that they weren't sure that they liked the popularity (esp. the paparazzi stalking them). They're going to change it up for their next album though so I hope it's good.

@Fawksian21 because america ( majority- not all of them!) only follow the mainstream whilst in UK, we follow loads more bands, and are generally more hipster- like listening to underdog bands that havent made it big yet- which is what kol were like from 2002-2007ish. but yeh considering that the US is like 20 times bigger than the UK, and yet they struggle to catch onto bands as quick as the UK do is a fucking mystery to me dude :P
