Moreover, you should get on your knees everyday and thank God for Islamic culture for what you have - while they are behind in the "rat race" in today's world - it was Islamic civilization that flourished while Europe languisehd in the Dark Ages. It was Islamic culture that preserved many of the manuscripts that would become the basis for Western civilization's rise. Were it not for them it is doubtful the Renaissance (and later the Enlightenment) would have had the same impact it had.

I know that Islam preserved knowledge during Europe's dark ages and that is very noble. Something tells me that today's Islam would not do so. The President of the United States does not bow to foreign potentates, it is a violation of protocol. Islamic culture is by no means equal to Western culture, it is clearly inferior.

I agree insofar as that the Islamic world needs to undergo a reformation - or an Enlightenment of its own - the way Kamal Ataturk did for Turkey. But the transformation needs to come from within not without - for the Islamic / Pan-Arabic world is all too wary of Western encroachment.

This is why I refute your view on all of Islam - as it is only counter-productive. Antagonism is neither necessary nor desirable.
