I am adopting a baby born from rape. I have tried many times to adopt and not there is not allot of kids out there. Most of the kids are in 9 and older. We had two babies come to us and both times the mothers said no because my husband was white. Late on we got calls years later for the same kids and then they wanted us to take them. In 10 placements by then. i am a worker and that says RADS. So no there is not babies for adoption. There are older kids and they come with many issues.

i'll be 16 next fall, my daughter, Nariyah is two and a half and my son, Isaac is 3 weeks old. they have different fathers and i raise both children with the support of my parents. its not easy by any means, but i would never consider an alternative for my children. i created them, i will care for them.

A lot of mothers would also raise a rape baby, I have a friend who did exactly that. However this has to be a mothers choice surely. With regard to getting pregnant by accident, I am very much of the mind that we are responsible for our own actions. We are all giving sex education from a very young age, wether that be through school, TV, parents or otherwise. There is just no excuse and a lot of contraception available. I am very much pro life.
the way i think of it if ur old enough to have sex ur old enough to take care of a baby....also even if u dnt want the baby ur reposbible for it, to take care of it and if tht means give it up for adoption so be it! but i think its wld be a lot easier to have the bay but find a family to take it....its not even tht hard to find a family tht will pay for EVERY thng and u dt hve to hve contact with it....u get just wht u want just a baby tht gets to live!
We have a program like that here :) They're amazing. They are the ones who helped me with my pregnancy <3 now at 28 weeks, my baby is healthy as ever and is ready to make her way into the world in a few short months <3 I think every town needs programs like these.
I can't believe some people are ok with abortion. I had my son at 17 and it was not an easy time, but murdering him was never an option, not even for a second. He is now 23 and amazing! I am so lucky that God chose me to raise him. Abstinence, contraception, and adoption are all good choices. Killing a baby is never a good choice. A nation that kills it's children is a nation without hope. We have to stop killing babies. All children are precious in God's eyes, no matter how they ere conceived.

My question is why the abortion and not just give the baby for adoption. Being that there are so many people that would love to have children but for some reason are unable. If you don't want children don't spread your legs. I was 19 when I got pregnet he is now 2 and its not been easy raising him (as a single mom) but I made the choice to lay down and create him so I stepped up and was woman enough to keep him and take care of him! there is NO excuse to abort a child

Or for instance, a woman finds out the baby she is carrying is going to have complications that would cause it's whole life to be a painful suffering one she still couldn't be merciful enough to make the choice to abort it? People should think before they post. There are legit reasons for abortions at times.
Adoption is the best option when it comes to rape.
When it comes to there being a complication, I think you should go ahead with the pregnancy. My best friend was not even supposed to be born alive, and when she was born, the doctors said she wouldn't live past one week. She is almost 18 now, and she's as healthy as a horse. That may not always be the case, I know, but it is not OUR choice whether or not a human should live or die.

No, a 'rape baby' does not 'automatically' 'need' to be aborted, but it would be very unfair to force someone to suffer through a pregnancy after a trauma. she got a second opinion, and it was negative. and her baby is healthy, and one year old now.

Inu, I talk to my daughter too. I have 2 girls and a boy. The younger ones aren't old enough for the chat (they are 3&2). But I have told my oldest all about sex, and what can happen. I have also asked her to please come to me when she thinks she is ready so I can make sure she is protected. And if (God forbid) she gets pregnant we will figure it out. We're not rich by any means but we take care of our own. We have a good relationship, and she's smart. She'll do the right thing and come to me.

839dilly, I'm sorry for what your parents made you do. I got pregnant with my first at 19. 12 years ago. She'll be 11 in March. Luckily I have an amazing family. My parents were really upset when I told them, but they stood by me. Even when I decided to leave K's(my daughter) dad and go it alone (he got too physical). I have never once regretted my decision to carry my child, and keep her. But I don't look down my nose at you. Who knows what I would have done if I was alone.
Basics: just because you want something doesn't mean everyone does. Just because you think making a choice for another human being is selfless doesn't mean it is. Just because you want a fetus to not be human doesn't mean it's not. Just because you think motherhood or adoption would be horrible doesn't mean it will be.
Thinking you can make decisions for another human being is wrong. Killing a human being is wrong. Truly helping others is never wrong.
God is using you to help other women. I'm sorry you went through so much pain, but we know there must be a reason for it all. Have you not went through the valley, you would not be able to help others in the way you have. You do have more of a reason to make it to heaven now, since you have a baby there. The women getting pregnant by 'accident', I'm really angry at them, but at the same time I think they shouldn't be forced to have the baby. I feel sorry for the baby dying but living with parents that are too stupid to have safe sex isn't a good option either.

@Yutakichan You can leave your unwanted child at the hospital or with the fire department (at least in Texas that's the law). And how do you know that there isn't a loving adoptive family just waiting for a baby right now? You don't know that there are lots and lots of programs out there. Even an aunt might want the child, or a cousin, or a sister, or a friend. Someone at one of the local churches in the area. The secret abortion is not a secret to God and you will be exposed sooner or later.
I think this was a terrific video. Thank God for counseling for those who are not sure of what to do and for those who chose an option and are wishing they had not. I believe adoption should be a first choice instead of abortion, personally. Choices are made and each one has consequences.
I believe abortion is murder. I have one child and have had problems concieving again. My other pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I would love to have another child. There are other options.

What you do is you take responsibility for a previous wrong choice (unprotected/premarital sex) and make room for the precious darling baby. To kill is a bad decision, and God does not let this go unpunished. But, if you choose life for your baby, then God will reward that. He did for me! I wasn't planning for a baby, but I decided to keep her..I've been blessed ever since!

Thank you MissSmith...I did my research to find when does life begin...God showed me with this scripture you mentioned AND in Psalms where David says he was "fearfully and wonderfully made" and "knit together" in his mother's womb. God also used a PBS film showing the biology of sex-- when the egg was fertilized it immediately LIT UP! It is true...Life Begins at Conception! =) Having this baby has been the joy of my life. She's my precious pal and I'd be so lost without her!

@ChrisFlipsAlot adoption is an option yes. but you'd have to carry the baby for 9 months. imagine there's a family living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make ends meet. the mother and father's contraception fails. the mom's pregnant. she works full time to try and make enough money to feed her family. however she cannot work in the later months of her pregnancy. the family can't pay and lose their house. and while the baby is sent off to a great new home the people left are now homeless.

So then is every baby a blessing? Yes I'm sure Hitler's mother was just thrilled with her kid. The point is not every one has this support you speak of and even if they did not every one wants a freakin kid. Adoption? Ya tell that to the millions of kids on the street. Some babies are a mistake and some times it is just not that easy to take care of it. Not everyone has a perfect life you know? Don't think you have all the answers...you don't. Abortion is simply an option.
So you would kill someone before they committed a crime with no proof that they were going to do it in the first place? No one has all the answers, but it's not up to you to force anything on a baby. If they're going to be miserable, then fix their misery, not end their existence. It's not up to us-- because we don't have the answers.
You love your child, and thought of what you could give her in life, you gave her your love by giving her life and the added love of a couple, and a enriched life. Your a great mom.

I am an atheist and even I wouldn't have an abortion. But then again I was smart enough not to put myself in those situations.
When I was a kid in the 70s, I did a school project on abortion on demand from an ethical not religious stand point. My teacher did not want to let me present my project, but I reminded him that this was America, so he let me.
If he had been one of those religious types, I would have been silenced.
Clearly abstinence does not work, otherwise there wouldn't be so many unplanned pregnancies and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, includng the incurable HIV and herpes. Ignorance is not bliss, therefore educating people from a young age (yes that includes underage teens - because they tend to experiment in the wrong way, regardless of adults telling them not to have sex) to take care of their sexual health in responsible, safe way is important!!

I agree completely. People who want to preach abstinence, tend to 'have their heads in the sand' and are not thinking realisitically. Tell underage teens NOT to have sex...guess what? Some of them will still do the complete opposite. The high rate of unplanned pregnancies, speak for itslef. Education is the key to reducing the likelihood of this problem amongst young people, not forgetting to put an emphasis on the importance of relationships.

I am adopting a baby born from rape. I have tried many times to adopt and not there is not allot of kids out there. Most of the kids are in 9 and older. We had two babies come to us and both times the mothers said no because my husband was white. Late on we got calls years later for the same kids and then they wanted us to take them. In 10 placements by then. i am a worker and that says RADS. So no there is not babies for adoption. There are older kids and they come with many issues.

A lot of mothers would also raise a rape baby, I have a friend who did exactly that. However this has to be a mothers choice surely. With regard to getting pregnant by accident, I am very much of the mind that we are responsible for our own actions. We are all giving sex education from a very young age, wether that be through school, TV, parents or otherwise. There is just no excuse and a lot of contraception available. I am very much pro life.

We have a program like that here :) They're amazing. They are the ones who helped me with my pregnancy <3 now at 28 weeks, my baby is healthy as ever and is ready to make her way into the world in a few short months <3 I think every town needs programs like these.

I can't believe some people are ok with abortion. I had my son at 17 and it was not an easy time, but murdering him was never an option, not even for a second. He is now 23 and amazing! I am so lucky that God chose me to raise him. Abstinence, contraception, and adoption are all good choices. Killing a baby is never a good choice. A nation that kills it's children is a nation without hope. We have to stop killing babies. All children are precious in God's eyes, no matter how they ere conceived.

When it comes to there being a complication, I think you should go ahead with the pregnancy. My best friend was not even supposed to be born alive, and when she was born, the doctors said she wouldn't live past one week. She is almost 18 now, and she's as healthy as a horse. That may not always be the case, I know, but it is not OUR choice whether or not a human should live or die.

Inu, I talk to my daughter too. I have 2 girls and a boy. The younger ones aren't old enough for the chat (they are 3&2). But I have told my oldest all about sex, and what can happen. I have also asked her to please come to me when she thinks she is ready so I can make sure she is protected. And if (God forbid) she gets pregnant we will figure it out. We're not rich by any means but we take care of our own. We have a good relationship, and she's smart. She'll do the right thing and come to me.

I was 17 when I got pregnant with my first child. My parents found out and took me to have an abortion. I did not have the courage to stand up for myself, or my baby. It has been 14 years, but the guilt and pain of my mistake will never end. I wish I had done so many things differently, this changed my life forever. I want my child so bad it hurts...all I can do is say, I'm sorry baby, and I love you...
To all the women, it is your choice, don't let anyone force your decision either way.

839dilly, I'm sorry for what your parents made you do. I got pregnant with my first at 19. 12 years ago. She'll be 11 in March. Luckily I have an amazing family. My parents were really upset when I told them, but they stood by me. Even when I decided to leave K's(my daughter) dad and go it alone (he got too physical). I have never once regretted my decision to carry my child, and keep her. But I don't look down my nose at you. Who knows what I would have done if I was alone.

Basics: just because you want something doesn't mean everyone does. Just because you think making a choice for another human being is selfless doesn't mean it is. Just because you want a fetus to not be human doesn't mean it's not. Just because you think motherhood or adoption would be horrible doesn't mean it will be.
Thinking you can make decisions for another human being is wrong. Killing a human being is wrong. Truly helping others is never wrong.

God is using you to help other women. I'm sorry you went through so much pain, but we know there must be a reason for it all. Have you not went through the valley, you would not be able to help others in the way you have. You do have more of a reason to make it to heaven now, since you have a baby there. I don't agree with abortion, but I can also see that some people just aren't ready for a baby.
Though IF they aren't ready, they just should have save sex.
The women getting pregnant by 'accident', I'm really angry at them, but at the same time I think they shouldn't be forced to have the baby. I feel sorry for the baby dying but living with parents that are too stupid to have safe sex isn't a good option either.
And not every unwanted child can be adopted by a loving family.

@Yutakichan You can leave your unwanted child at the hospital or with the fire department (at least in Texas that's the law). And how do you know that there isn't a loving adoptive family just waiting for a baby right now? You don't know that there are lots and lots of programs out there. Even an aunt might want the child, or a cousin, or a sister, or a friend. Someone at one of the local churches in the area. The secret abortion is not a secret to God and you will be exposed sooner or later.

I think this was a terrific video. Thank God for counseling for those who are not sure of what to do and for those who chose an option and are wishing they had not. I believe adoption should be a first choice instead of abortion, personally. Choices are made and each one has consequences.

What you do is you take responsibility for a previous wrong choice (unprotected/premarital sex) and make room for the precious darling baby. To kill is a bad decision, and God does not let this go unpunished. But, if you choose life for your baby, then God will reward that. He did for me! I wasn't planning for a baby, but I decided to keep her..I've been blessed ever since!

Thank you MissSmith...I did my research to find when does life begin...God showed me with this scripture you mentioned AND in Psalms where David says he was "fearfully and wonderfully made" and "knit together" in his mother's womb. God also used a PBS film showing the biology of sex-- when the egg was fertilized it immediately LIT UP! It is true...Life Begins at Conception! =) Having this baby has been the joy of my life. She's my precious pal and I'd be so lost without her!

@ChrisFlipsAlot adoption is an option yes. but you'd have to carry the baby for 9 months. imagine there's a family living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make ends meet. the mother and father's contraception fails. the mom's pregnant. she works full time to try and make enough money to feed her family. however she cannot work in the later months of her pregnancy. the family can't pay and lose their house. and while the baby is sent off to a great new home the people left are now homeless.

The point is not every one has this support you speak of and even if they did not every one wants a freakin kid. Adoption? Ya tell that to the millions of kids on the street. She's very beautiful, and I'll bet you're at peace, now. If you read this, I'm curious to know how to actually adopt, but not just newborns. If you know how to go through an adoption without "purchasing the baby", please explain ...

I am an atheist and even I wouldn't have an abortion. But then again I was smart enough not to put myself in those situations.
When I was a kid in the 70s, I did a school project on abortion on demand from an ethical not religious stand point. My teacher did not want to let me present my project, but I reminded him that this was America, so he let me.
If he had been one of those religious types, I would have been silenced.

Clearly abstinence does not work, otherwise there wouldn't be so many unplanned pregnancies and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, includng the incurable HIV and herpes. Ignorance is not bliss, therefore educating people from a young age (yes that includes underage teens - because they tend to experiment in the wrong way, regardless of adults telling them not to have sex) to take care of their sexual health in responsible, safe way is important!!

I agree completely. People who want to preach abstinence, tend to 'have their heads in the sand' and are not thinking realisitically. Tell underage teens NOT to have sex...guess what? Some of them will still do the complete opposite. The high rate of unplanned pregnancies, speak for itslef. Education is the key to reducing the likelihood of this problem amongst young people, not forgetting to put an emphasis on the importance of relationships.
