This song is incredibly depressing...that doesn't make it emo. It is always a good thing when a song can stimulate emotions so thoroughly...no matter what emotion that might be.
Funny how this is not 'criticism, commentating, news reporting, teaching, scholarship or research'... this is REDISTRIBUTING... which does NOT fall under S107 of Act of 1976... But please thumb this down before youtube realizes that.
@TyropeGames Plenty of "commenting" here...so I guess this is not simply a case of "REDISTRIBUTING",... and that it therefore probably DOES fall under S107 of Act of 1976. ...Also, goes without saying - it's also non-profit...
If you guys were wondering, this is what jim adkins commented on this song.. [[Jim Adkins on Rock Louder: "I wrote this about how, with distance and time, it becomes easier to invent qualities that may not have existed in a relationship. You find yourself falsely believing that those qualities could be included in a current version of the relationship."]]
ah, music to my ears. No bubble gum haha =) Jimmy Eat World deserves so much more credit than they're getting. They influenced so many bands today, including Paramore and Blink-182 and I consider them the fathers of alternative music and new school punk, with finding beauty in the dissonance, but not in the same way as The Clash. I love these guys!
@dazeno24 Did you ever notice the contrast in Blink-182's sound towards the middle and end of their career? It was totally revolutionized, to where it wasn't just punk and power chords anymore. It was alternative music, particularly their self titled album. As soon as Jimmy Eat World stepped up, people were all over this new transition of style like in Feeling This and Violence. I'm not saying Blink is bad dude, I'm just saying Jimmy Eat World made a major contribution towards their new sound.
@geetarplayer4ever I agree with you on how blinks sound did turn to more alternate music on their last album, but i kinda doubt that they did it becase of Jimmy Eat World.
This song should have way more comments than five, and more views than 6,699....I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that songs that have deeper lyrics are overlooked, for what reason I don't know, but it seems these songs are under the radar, you won't find the good ones like this on the radio much.
