I practice Hoki Ryu in the U.S. Interesting to see the kumi tachi. It gives a different perspective to the kata.

after a year of further research and personal reflection I may say that koryu had a wider perspective than fighting

It comes from "Tsuki Dome" iai kata of the omote group.
@gaxxag Suio Ryu also has a similar deflection type movement with the tsuka.
