Used to really like this track until I discovered that this track rips off about 95% of Chuck Brown's "We Need Some Money" from 1984. The beats, the breaks, the samples...even the scratching on this version is very similar to the rhythm guitar part. I can't believe it! Would just rather listen to the original now.
@newmusicmark Yeah, but that's sort of the nature of the hip-hop side of Nasty Rox. Same goes for a good part "9th Wonder" and "Wooba Wubbaa II". I'm a huge Chuck Brown fan but if you really listen to "Escape From New York" you'll hear how much has been added to the instrumental part of the track.
One of my favourite albums of the 80s. KILLER production on that record and CJs scratching was way ahead of most of the scratching that was appearing on U.S. hip-hop releases during the same period (check out the phrasing at the end of "Nobby's One" - fantastic).
This song was part of the soundtrak on "License to Thrill" (1989). Perfect fit for the movie!

@chogoro Steve Lipson actually produced this album and single (with T.H. acting only as executive producer).
