One thing's for certain....if The Beatles had stayed together into the early '70s they would have most definitely tried their hand at reggae. As a matter of fact, they already had with "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" in 1968! (On a side note, listen to the guitar break in the early Beatles song "I Call Your Name" and note that it suspiciously sounds like The Beatles are attempting a first wave ska beat).

The name "C Moon" was inspired by lyrics in the song "Wooly Bully" by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs. McCartney said, "There's a line in Wooly Bully that says, 'Let's not be L7.' L7, means a square (put L and 7 together and you get a square) So I thought of the idea of putting a C and a moon together (a half-moon) to get the opposite of a square. (means cool)

Paul McCartney wrote this song from an inspiration of "Wooly Bully". There was a line in the show that said, "Let's not be L7." This means square, considering that an L and a 7 make a square. Then, McCartney made a C and Moon, referring to a half moon, which was interpreted to mean "cool".
