as a show yes, but bon jovi sound better live. i dont really like bon jovi, but they are a great sounding live band, and jon is a natural frontman. motley just put on a great show, but they have oads of backing tapes and that now. even the backing girls are on tape now. the crue are my fave band ever, but they are hardly the greatest musicians in the world are they

Very well put. Motley and Bon Jovi oddly enough are two of my favs, and I think Richie and Jon will go down as legends in songwritting, so many real classics, and they will ultimately be up there with Floyd, Zepplin, Beatles in album sales, hundreds of millions, But the Crue are my boys, real rock and roll assholes (i say that in a good way) and I'd rather hang with Tommy for a day then anyone else, and their shows are filled with rock and slease and sex, everything rock and roll

i agree with everything you said there, very well put (although id rather hang with nikki than tommy). i have seen bon jovi more times than any other band and i have to say that even tho im not a huge fan of their music, i dance through their entire set, as jon is just a great performer, and gets the crowd going like no one sles i have seen (except maybe steve tyler). as you said musically jovi will be remembered as greats, but as rock stars motley will be remembered as the best, in my opinion

@shonco Give Steven Tyler some credit he's 62 years old and he's been with Aerosmith for over 4 decades. He sings way better than Vince Neil. Outlasted a lot of great bands. He did drugs too, probably not as bad a Crue but Tyler & Joe Perry were called the Toxic twins for a reason.

Motley Crue always sucked live because Vince Neil cant sing live. That's too bad. People just went to see them because they thought its cool but they always sucked live. Tommy and Mick carried Motley Crue on tour.

Acually, Vince Neil can sing live. I've seen him live twice, once with CRUE & once with his solo band. He sounded great, and to prove this, I'm going to see CRUE again on this tour in a few days, and I have enough musical knowledge and inclination to know better than to waste my money on someone who can't sing worth a damn live.

the audio sounds that way cause of the bass. the mics on those video cameras can't handle that much. i'd suggest covering the mic up during recording. it's loud enough in there that you could make out what was going on.
