  • el mostacho es la maximo.. hace q su forma de tocar pase inadvertida,, :D

  • Hiya Marlowe,

Nice video as always! How many 6 string basses do you have?

  • Groovy as always! how about 6th sting does it song good?

  • you should make an album of this

  • bigote n.n

  • Now thats a great mustache! Fits your groove! ;-)

  • great shape changes. definitely some good blue's jams in that. Keep inspiring man!

  • i could listen to this loop for hours

  • Hi ! I have a question , which is most popular on a 6 string bass ?

  • tony levin moustache's style!

  • Marlowe, you're the MAN! Thank you for being a constant inspiration.

  • How much did you pay for that bass??

  • You look like a grandpa with this mustache :(

  • This is something I like to sit for hours and do. Nothing like this though! That was awesome :)

  • Great stuff as usual, niiiice! Is taht mustache a nod to Mr Graham? :)

  • Comment removed

  • uh, the last note was loud, i´m always listening with headphones :)

  • I love how you build your theme's, and not just abandon them after one use. Awesome motif's!

  • I love the mustache :D

  • epic bass face at 1:26 !

  • Recently got a Spector 6 string. I sold my 5 string earlier and it was a while until I was able to fully adjust to the width of the neck. But now whenever I go back to my 4 string it's always much easier to do everything such as scales and the such. Great instrument and very awesome with the range

  • Awesome like always, congrats on your new 6 string bass, it seems like it plays by itself!!

  • Great Sound, and nice playing! as always!

  • I havent seen one of your videos in a while, and long story short I noticed you have acquired a nice mustache. I also noticed that a nice goatee would look good with that bass line.

  • Do the ladies like the stache?

  • @Dugger1997 I hear it tickles their "fancy" ... :P

  • Marlowe, thanks for all the great videos-very inspiring! How do you like the K6? I was going to check out the KSD 6. Btw, I got the Pandora because of you a couple of years ago-absolutely love it! Keep up the great work!

  • Nice groove bro :)

  • That is the nastiest groove I've heard for the base track and the lead voice with the six string... that's what I'm talkin about. The only word I can come up with is nasty man, just plain nasty. That blew me up. Started me to thinking about composing again. Keep it up bro. I felt that.

  • Good bass work. Not trying to advertise on your vid page, but can y'all check my loop vids. If I suck, tell me.

  • Last montrh the fiver, now a six string. Seems like you're adding one string a month;-)

  • awesome looping and creation harmony play Marlowe

  • nice song and nice new bass smart

  • Thanks a lot, I finally decided to save up for an acoustic (Ibanez AEB10E) instead of a Squier VM Jazz, and now I'm back at square one xD

Love the warmth of my P-bass, but that typical J sound still eludes me.

  • I use a looper for practising (being able to record and hear myself immediately). Creating these loops looks so easy on Youtube, but when I tried, I failed shamefully...

  • i want a looper so bad

  • Always fancied a 6 string but never knew whether it was worth getting or not. Thanks to you, I'm saving up for one.

Question though, is it possible to tune one to the standard guitar tuning?

  • I love the diminished scale over a dominant 7 chord.

    Nice man.

  • Chewing-gum.

  • I would LOVE to lay down a drum track for this. JUICY!!

  • Impression of the Bass Mods? Incredible sustain, yes?

  • haha you sorta look like anthony kiedis now. you guys ave the same mustache...

  • That look is so Tony Levin, I'm going to try that one, then I'll learn the riff

  • i don't know why but i dont like it ;/

  • muito bom!

  • I wouldn't know where to begin on a 6 string. This was cool to watch, I have a loop jam vid myself, but minus all the techniques you've gotten down.

  • What are the pickups on those Thomas? I think this is the first time I comment on your video for long time, you're just alot more 'loose' on this one compared to those lesson videos. Always nice to see a different side of musicians.

  • What's up Marlowe Im very interested in that line of basses. I havent played one but when i hear them played, they all sound amazing. Got a question is the K6 Bass Mods better than the BTB Ibanez 676?

  • With this funky mustache, you look like a white version of Larry Graham :p

    Great playing btw ;)

  • I love your bass, l love your song !

  • that moustache is pure funkyness!!

  • mmm sexy!

    The guitar too.. ;)

  • thats what im talking about.

  • Dang that's nice! I've been playing possible since before you were born, and I've never been that good. Kudos to your instrument and your skill.

  • MUY BIEN ..

    EXELENTE !!

  • all that and you can still chew gum...

  • Thats a cool bass, dude. Love the playing! Sounds great.

  • six string + moustache = Great combination!

  • Great track, I can never get a handle on playing these, so gigantic! (insert dick joke here)

  • Awesome soloing and bass!

  • Those EMG pickups really makes it sound unique. One famous bassplayer I know that uses aslo EMGs is Richard Bona. Just amazing.

  • Beautiful bass and great playing

  • haha love the stache

  • WOW! this is awesome! Now I HAVE to get a loop pedal... still gonna stick with my 5- and 4- strings though. Keep up the awesome videos!

  • Marlowe ur mustache seems really thick not shaving lately?

  • You have such an array of interesting "looks." Clean shaven, unshaven, bearded, moustache-only, short hair and long. I feel a different mood in your playing with every "look." That's a great thing!

  • @maxproud Hmmm, interesting theory:-)

  • Nice. That was fun to listen to.

  • MAN! This is great! Well thought out, melodic, Jazz'n, and groov'n! NICE job!

  • I have never heard of Bass Mods before, sounds good though. Im a bit envious of your instrument collection! How many basses do you own? Do you have a couple favourites?

  • you are an inspiration to me, keep up the awesome vids!

  • Moustache!

  • Cool... Superlike!!

  • Nice work Marlowe! How's the DVD going?

  • Nice shirt!

  • Someone is adding strings lately … Which is great, BTW

  • awesome!!!

  • That's an amazing sounding and looking bass!

  • That`s a funky moustache you got there!

  • Hey Marlowe, just wondering:

Is that blue bass on the rock stand right next to you a Fender Precision Steve Harris siganture? Looks exactly like it :).

  • @jponbass No, its an old SX fretless

  • @MarloweDK did SX bass satisfy u?

  • haha love it, subscribed to your channel a while back Marlow - you seem to have got way more funky/jazzy since the 'tasche. :p

Makes me ashamed to neglect my fretless for my acoustic guitar, when all I've got to do is plug in and play.

  • fuck you man. i wanna be this good on any instrument!! really enjoyed this tune :)

  • Amazing, like the others !! And great new bass too.

But what do you think about Warwick basses ? I saw you with a Warwick Streamer (with a great sound by the way), but just on 3 videos !

But no matter to me if you prefer Jazz Bass =) !

(sorry for my english if I use the wrong words !)

  • @AlexBassTHS I never got close to the Warwick Streamer, but maybe I got the wrong one;-) Swapped it to a doublebass by the way, so its gone for good

  • @MarloweDK thank you for the honesty. too many big-name players (and you are one!) take equivocal, political statements about the gear they use.

  • Great bass....man you are great .your lessons changed my playing ... thank you very much !!!

  • Wow, this kind of stuff is the reason I'm subscribed to you even though I don't play bass :D I'm thinking of starting though. Can you recommend any good bass guitars for beginners?

  • @MrMagickoala

That depends on your budget and the style you want to play, the best bass you can buy is to go to a store a try all of their good basses.

  • @TheBassistWW I'm into funk and funk rock, like Funkadelic and the Chili Peppers. And my budgets about £300.

  • hmm im sorry to say but it is kinda boring :P

  • What pickups are on that bass, by the way amazing cover :)

  • det var sgu da et hæftigt overskæg du har fået dig!

  • really nice you beast ^^

  • you deserve that larry graham moustache!!!

  • Do you play any other instrument than Bass guitar and upright bass?

  • @TwistOneX Not really, can only play some simple guitar

  • @MarloweDK Ok cool, thank's for the fast replay...not playing other instrument is an advantage i guess because playing an instrument and master it take's a long time..i think that you never really "master" an instrument you just make room for him in your soul and then it speaks for you, anyways keep on with these awesome video's.

  • @TwistOneX Bear in mind that when he says "simple guitar" He probably means what we consider "really pretty damn good guitar"! xD

  • @TwistOneX On the contrary, playing more instruments is always better, i know some badass players that can handle that, Im very envious:-)

  • @MarloweDK like wise! I also envy those who can sing and bass same time!

  • Watched some of Davids Looper Adventures? :D

  • @MogliEdit No,not yet, but I will:-)

  • which loop station/pedal are you using?

  • Cool glasses. What brand/model are they?

  • @defun0 An old model of Christian Dior Black Tie

  • NICE BASS !!!

  • Nice!!

  • Hell yes. Is that another f bass?

  • funkiest dane in denmark

  • nice my friend!! groovin

  • nice one as usual!
