@TheSM24 The best way is looking at the box. The monster logo will be dark grey instead of white, you will not be able to see dres neck on the side of the box and multiple TM logos will be missing. If no box, check if they came with two triple A duracells. Already in. If not, they are fake.

@Sup3rManBoy i bought loads of them in bulk of a friend iv sold quite a lot allready and everyone who has bought a pair has said the same thing - people are idiots for spending over £150 or £230 for these ! which i agree on.... fair enough if you want them to support monster beats or dr.dre ,, but these things are made in the same factory as the real ones.. the chinese guys rob the speakers and parts of the plastics and create there own boxes.. plus they sound and look the same

@Kevinm495 I own a pair and the fakes are exactly the same as the real ones.So yes it does come with the battery input although it does not come with the AAA Batteries to insert into the input. The only downside to the fakes is the poor sound isolation.

The beats are supposed to reduce the amount of background noise once switched on (eg roommates, refrigerator noise) . The fakes don't seem to have this feature, although the soft ear pads mold around your ears and reduce the noise that way.
