@winorbin I use a 560TVL bullet cam from R F Concepts at the front, connected to a camcorder in the boot. On the back I have a cheap (£35 on ebay - you can get them cheaper but they're knock offs) AEE MD80 minicam taped to the brake light. The data is provided by RaceChrono (free software) running on an old N95 with an external bluetooth 5Hz GPS (you can use the phone's internal GPS but it's not as accurate at only 1Hz) and the overlay is created using RaceChrono2AVI which is also free.
Class Stuff, split screen with info working a treat! I wasn't able to make it up on Saturday morning but was on track last night (4th May). Recognised 'GooseGSX' on the 675 at the start of yer vid and the RC8 rider. Also at about 4.25 yer passed by a blue zx-6r , rider in yellow & black leathers. He was up last night and is mentally fast! lapping at around 57s. I got chatting to a marshal about him and found out he is an ex-racer! Hopefully meet up at a session soon.
@cptmorgans: I wasn't at all happy with my riding for my first two sessions and missed the first session of the day entirely. Guess the crash at Cadwell affected me more than I thought. This is the first (and only) session where I felt I was starting to get it together but I was still pretty ragged. Got chatting to the ZX6R rider in the pits, nice guy. That was him taking it easy because that's his road bike and he can't afford to drop it!
How and what did you use for your lap times etc? really adds to the vid, cool, heading to knockhill on sat for a trackday cant wait!
