Cameras were often positoned on the ground and combined slow motion action scenes. Plus, the 70's was the decade of sex so most times the story line in films was about a man sticking up for his woman.

Right down to the scene where Kelly walks to the camera in slow motion. A frame for frame rip off of Lee in the Cavern fight in Enter The Dragon. All this was done around the time he did his infamous interview for "Fighting Stars " magazine where his ego was frightening. Sad waste of talent.
