  • PLEASE MAKE TABS, i beg you

  • I have the Tokai LS 100 Q and it's a great guitar... stock pups are more then adequate.

  • That tone is brilliant.

  • thats riht dont need any ole paper thin ibanez fr some instrumental rock, just a good ole classey lespau

  • Great sounding stuff. Best of luck in the future.

  • Watching this video has inspired to play my tokai LS52 allot more :) good job guys!

  • Hey,

if you still want to play it i did my best to transcribe the first 1:18 of this song. The rest is mostly repetition and variation, so you should be able to transcribe the rest now or play some parts, if you feel like :)

    download GPX file here

  • what is this acoustic guitar? ibanez or what?

  • really the only difference between a tokai and a gibson is that the gibson pickups are a bit brighter but its barely noticeable so in my opioion tokai is a bit better.

  • Sorry to ask you, but have you tabs for the solo's and rythm?

  • @ravenshield56 Hi Ravenshield, I have been asked this a number of times but as I said earlier, I've never used tabs. I don't have the tabs for any of my stuff. I'd love to help but unfortunately can't help you this time.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

  • @PjhSA Thats fine, sorry to of asked you again, I wouldn't of if I knew everyone was asking :)

Its very melodic and very well done ;)

    thanks anyway :)

  • Sorry to ask you, but have you tabs for the solo?

  • @ravenshield56

It's a nice melody. You should'nt need tabs for this one. Use your ears. It's an easy melody. and rythem. Nice little tune.

  • @Varoom68 im too inexperienced to transcript :'(

  • @ravenshield56 It's ok if your inexperienced. Just use your ears and pick one simple little piece and try your best at replicating it on the gtr. Then go on from there. Just take little steps. Your ears will improve. It's just like learning to ride a bike. Little steps.

  • @Varoom68 okay thankyou! :)

  • huh, So i'm guessing these Tokai's are pretty nice? Been looking into getting one, I want another les paul style but don't wanna spend Gibson prices.

  • @FluffyMuffina Yes, Tokai Love Rocks can be better than Gibson

  • awesome .................. !!!!!!!!!

  • You guys sound great I love the bluesy groove you have going. I'll have to check out your website. Nice sounding Tokai guitars by the way I've been thinking of buying one while I am in Japan.

  • @HazardousSmoker Sorry for the rather late reply. I have just bought a '92 Love Rock LS55 Cherry Sunburst (made in Japan NOT China) and it is magnificent. The craftmanship of these guitars is second to none! If you haven't already, do yourself a favour and buy a Tokai. Somebody employed by that well known, but rather expensive Les Paul manufacturer should examine a Tokai carefully. They might learn something.

  • Awesome ...TOKAI 4 ever ..great sound guys

  • effin brill

  • Were the heck are you guys from?

  • @bigduke60 We're from South Africa

    Check out peterhanmer.co.za

    Cheers,

    Peter

  • what string gauge are they?

  • Nice work, makes teens wanna pick up one.

  • u using any effects? thx

  • @terencewyt Yes, I did use efx. MI Audio Crunchbox for distortion, delay and reverb.

  • oh yeahhhh.... great!!!

  • could you do a video lesson on how to do this for the people who cant play by ear or possibly make tabs for it

  • On paper these guitars seem very similar. What would you say are the differences in tone and feel from your experience?

  • two words. just great.

  • Sounds Good. Are the Tokais versatile enough to play heavier things like hard rock or drop tuned metal???

  • @ChrisHalv In a word: Yes. Tokai's pickups are pretty hot, even on the bottom-rung Love Rocks, so they do higher gain tones well.

  • @ChrisHalv of course.

  • Great demo, enjoied it :-)

  • well done enjoyed this....

  • Where have you bought these guitars ? Because I want a Tokai but I don`t know where I could find one so....

  • @RockMailou

You can check Ebay, there's plenty of them on there.

  • very nice sounding demo, thank you very much :D

  • better than gibson ?? i might buy one

  • very cool sounding. the riff though sounds very similar to a joe satriani song though... I think its surfing with an alien? check it out.

  • This very cool.

  • Very nice! Reminds me of Montrose's early solo work.

  • Awesome! Great playing and amazing sound on the Tokai ove rock :-)

  • cool

  • Excellent! I see what you mean - they're great guitars, and your playing is flawless, as always. Nice one - well done!

  • Very cool ... well done, Peter

  • Wow. The guy that plays guitars looks like the guy that plays drums. Identical...!!

    Ha...JK...Very awesome dude.

  • Thanks everyone for listening and viewing. Your comments are much appreciated.

  • Wow,, blown away, you da man. looks like my next tokai will have to be an LS95.

  • Definately. I also have one, it's a truly great guitar :D

  • Great job !

What year is the Tokai Les Paul ?

I've been wanting one for years after

    owning a Tokai Strat.

Finally got a Gibson last week, same color as your Tokai, at an unbelievable price.

A spur of the moment buy.

A real, "if you don't buy it now, it will be gone tomorrow". kind of thing.

  • rockin, man. :)

  • Sounds really great! Very talented guy, 5 stars all the way!!

  • + 1 on the Excellent.

  • Awsome! I have a Takai LS150 I purchased this past Christmas, and to sum it up, I'm still celebrating Christmas. Tokai guitars are Japans best kept secrete. Every bit as good as Gibson and in some ways, much better than Gibson. And did I mention the price tag?

  • Excellent work Peter....terrific tone and played superbly m8 =)
