As a Kings fan, at first I was alittle upset because I was (still am I should say) a bug Simmonds and Schenn fan but after a few days after the trade, I was really excited about this guy! Now midway through the season, hima nd Kopitar are my 2 favorite players on the Kings :)

Richards will become a fan favorite for the kings and the flyers are building a team that will win a cup. Schenn , Couturier, Simmonds, Voracek, Jagr, Giroux, JVR, and most importantly BRYZGALOV!!!!! Finally we have a goalie !!! Holmgren did a great job.

Not a bad trade from a flyers fan stand point. We got alot younger we got our goalie and have the cap room to sign any free agent we want come july 1st. Richards And Carters 10 and 11 year contracts would have killed us in the long run.
For Kings fans I must say that the prospect of having Handzus Kopitar and Richards on the ice at the same time is insane. Three legit monster power forwards. Kings fans your gonna love watching Richards, his style of play is amazing to watch.

Schenn's cap hit is $3.1M, Simmonds' is $1.75, Richards' is $5.75. You don't trade a player like Mike Richards for $900K of cap space, which is basically nothing... Schenn will be very good and Simmonds is good, but neither are Mike Richards.

this vorcek guy is going to replace ville leino. if you look at his numbers, and compair them to jeff carters numbers despite vorcek playing on a awful squad did better then carter. combine him with the flyers excellent defense, and goaltending, and i think we will have somebody better soon!

voracek and scheen played an awful teams where defense was a issue. richards was traded there for one reason. they need help with offense defense. richards just may be the best at that when healthy. he will turn that team into a minnesota wild like team but better.
look for them to square off with san jose and washington for best offense. we are in the best defense circle with the cannucks and blackhawks. but we are not number 3 anymore. we are number 1 now.

One of my all time favorite players. I cried for 2 1/2 hours when I heard the news. I can't believe he's gone. I thought for sure he'd wear orange and black until the day he retired. I'll miss him so much. Take care of him LA. He's everything you could ask for in a hockey player. Be sure to show him the love and respect he deserves.

One of my all time favorite players. I cried for 2 1/2 hours when I heard the news. I can't believe he's gone. I thought for sure he'd wear orange and black until the day he retired. I'll miss him so much. Take care of him LA. He's everything you could ask for in a hockey player. Be sure to show him the love and respect he deserves.

It's a shame to see him go. I've always really seen him as the heart of our team, I doubt it'll be the same without him. Here's hoping Schenn can bring what he needs to bring, and that Bryzgalov isn't a bust... because we're really going to miss Mike Richards.
