When you're skiing in the mountains, you want your dins set as high as they can go because finding your ski in deep powder sucks and if it's not deep powder it's usually steep enough that the ski brakes don't do anything and your ski flies down the hill. I know my dins are cranked up to 16.

There's a trick to not breaking anything. Go limp when you fall. You'll look like a rag doll but you'll have a much lower risk of injuring yourself.
