  • HELL

  • HELP! YAAAA!!

  • good playing man but just a pointer get a new guitar or new pickups

  • good played!!!! but your distortion really sucks ...better try just a little bit gain of an overdrive instead of that saturated and toneless dist.. it will be more clean, understandable and nice sound.. I also recommend a little reverb....

  • don't judge, he'll probably do it better than you

  • ZZZzzzzzzz.....zzzZZZ... more practice.... ZZzzz....

  • FRET BUZZ!!!

  • theres some really jelous people on here saying it sounds shit and stuff. if you can do any better all you hates weres your videos of you playing it? huh o no i forgot u cant play it so come back wen u can. until then stop hating and enjoy the work that this guy has put into learning this song big wow he makes a few mistakes so do every other pro out there

  • very very good mate

  • lots of bitchn everywhere

  • Man, there sure are a lot of haters on youtube. So the guy made some mistakes. He's allowed too. This isn't a competition. Overall he's playing's really good. That's a tough piece to play on any instrument. And I personally think violin pieces arranged for the the electric guitar w/ distortion sound really nice, as the distortion adds more sustain. All I'll say is people who feel the need to talk shit do it out of their own feelings of insecurity.

  • Fuck

  • not even close and sloppy too

  • @17Greco17 are you seriously going to criticize a phenomenal attempt at one of the hardest violin pieces? Get real, let's see you do something better, if not something of equal quality.

  • @Mofosalvitti give it a month and i will... thats a promise

  • sucks!!!!!

  • this is sloppy as fuck! but i admit learning this shit is some damn work!!! xD

  • @Fighting3110 and @DrDoodlesVonDoodles.

theres a reason why this song is meant for a violin. yeah if u ACTUALLY practice it perfectly. then it can ok on a guitar. but it won't ever compare to an actually violinist playing it. his notes are wrong and it just sounds like a blur. the notes are supose to b spiccato, where every note is heard.

i'm sorry if you guys can't understand real music. i really am.

  • @ACTninja if Yngwie Malmsteen played it then it would sound perfect

  • play this melody clean or do not play it!

  • Trying to play this makes me want to shoot myself

  • jason becker

  • Why does everyone attempting to play this on the guitar skips the initial arpeggio sequence?

  • @UncleTito72 ive been asking the same question, plus the arpeggio part is too damn fun to play

  • @UncleTito72 it's difficult

  • @savinmeagain I know it's difficult, but what is shred guitar without sweep arpeggios? I have never seen the point in learning only part of a piece, particularly this one. It helps develop some very essential skills for that particular style. If one is going to delve into shred guitar, I'd say that sweep picking is pretty much a necessity to be able to perform that style with some degree of credibility. But that's just me.

  • @UncleTito72 I'm not disagreeing with you, personally I love spending hours learning a 30 second peice...but some people find that a little impractical

  • 281 people are frustated guitar players

  • It's played well, but please work on your tone, my god. My ears.

  • where is Paganini in this?

  • How many souls went into the creation of your fingers? Beware when watching this people you might get yo head cut

  • I can play this better when i'm pissed, on the Banjo at Christmas, at me Grannys....utter Amateurish bollox!

  • Wow nice man, I don't care what the other people say, this is good.

  • God this is messy

  • ...this is shit....sorry but leave pagannini to violinists, where its supose to b played

  • @ACTninja and vai, vai plays it well too

  • @ACTninja

This guy isn't the greatest, but I'd listen to guitars over violins any day.

  • @ACTninja

    kill urself....

  • @ACTninja ...your comment is shit....sorry but leave your comments to yourslef where its supposed to be kept.......... asshole

  • it's good to see it, but the gain is only a coverup. Less gain is more impressive.

  • can't compare to jason becker sorry

  • The original piece? Yeah good luck, only a tad off in the time line.

  • Look and listen to Fighterpilot1975's Trailer including Paganini's Caprice Nr. 5,

simply the best E-Guitar version available at the moment

  • shitty tone

  • @GunwallsJoBailey This guy blows me away on the guitar. People like you make me want to avoid posting myself playing. You and your 9 followers can hum this song on my nuts!

  • @sirpauli I didn't said his playing is bad, or that he can't shred, I said what is true, and he has an amazingly shitty tone

  • if your gonna do this piece dirty at least take a bit of the gain off

  • Good guitar skills but can't be compared to the original piece !

  • sounds like shit!

please don't touch paganini whit electric shred shittin guitar!!!

  • @danimalvagio watch?v=-iINz1_WOMs Tell me that this isn't just beautifully done. I don't care if you don't like "shred guitar" if this song is to be played on the guitar it's going to sound like shredding. but this guy's sucks, don't insult the instrument

  • horrible, horrible, horrible sound

  • you don't use the distortion...

  • whats wrong people he plays well even the tune is different

  • Good playing, bad tone.

  • learn how to use your neck pickup man, it articulates better for this kinda stuff ya know and it get rid of people saying your tone sucks

  • where is THE MUSIC?

  • There's hundreds of videos of guitarists playing this song, yet all of them sound like shit from the camera mic. Seroisly, get a "Y" splitter and a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter and go direct or atleast record the audio on something decent and then sync it up.

  • Way too much distortion......

  • learn it on a classical guitar...sounds like crap on electric

  • You classical purists do know that guitar shredding is based of Paginini...

    Look up Yngwie Malmsteen...

  • @brurzum haha!!!!!!!!!! finally someone who agrees with what i've been saying! yngwie is soo based on paganini. actually, almost all guitar shred came from paganini

  • @charvinaldo - I think Yngwie actually credits a few composers. Definetly Paganini and, I could be wrong, but Bach as well.

  • what have u done to this piece of music? At least learn the electric VIOLIN if you like this music ! ^

  • CAPPRICE - ca·pric·cio [kə prchō, kə prchee ]

    (plural ca·pric·cios)

  • gostei de ver! uma ótima execução de uma musica, no qual muitos musicos tremem diante de sua notas!

  • Simply put: this one is intended for violin.

    Stop.

  • Playing this on the guitar is much easier than the violin. Besides having the frets the amount of things you can do with the guitar is very limited to the violin. This doesn't require pinpoint precision or any right-handed techniques.

  • Gizzy that's retarded, the guy is sweep picking as well as alternate picking both of which are right handed techniques...actually im pretty sure part of being a good guitarist is right/left hand snyc

  • @Metalhead92787 you don't understand how limited the guitar really is. The violin requires a lot more than just the hand like the guitar only requires. Just go look up violin techniques. It's lot more complicated. I would know because I've been playing both instruments for years.

  • @GrizzlyBlue5791 Tell that to Julian graduate The Great Kat :P

  • @GrizzlyBlue5791 haha well i can tell you, you obviously dont put time into guitar then if you honestly believe that. Guitar is actually one of the most open instruments out there. Like if you play a classical guitar you have to learn beating along with playing. and simply playing is not just pick this this fret. On guitar there is also many different types of harmonics, tapping, ghost notes, double stop bends, trilling, ect. additionally guitar players tend to study more music writing.

  • Nicely done man.

  • dont listen to all the "cocky" voilinists dissing shredding those ass whipes can fuck off (i have nothing against nice voilinsts :])

  • Let me be the typical youtube dissenter on this kind of video for a second:

"BAH I PLAY CLASSICAL, LERN2 REAL INSTRUMENT ANY INSTRUMENT WITH FRETS ARE FOR PUSSIES GUITAR NO SKILL EVEN THOUGH I CANT PLAY MYSELF. I'M A PRETENTIOUS FUCK."

...Cant we just sit back and appreciate a well-played rendition for ONCE without arguing about what's better in our opinion?

It seems like genre/era is just something idiots argue about on the internet rather than a classification nowadays.

  • What is shredding exactly? playing fast all over the fretboard?

  • Yir ;D it rarely sounds good though, as a lot of "shredders" are rather sloppy in their execution and have a horrible tone.

  • This is actually a song for violin. So you can whine to Paganini about shredding.

  • What kind of girly response is that? I thought you would at least have an argument. I must be talking to a child.

  • @silvernissen bitch

  • @silvernissen you know i can see you're comment even if your removed it if i chose to reply to it and btw fuk u

  • yes.

  • its about scales and sweep picking 2

  • PFFF.... frets.

  • Lmao I thought that too, as a violinist. I wasn't going to say it though.

  • @Mifunski did you guys ever stop to think maybe this guy is a violin player 2 but he is just better at guitar.. and besides theres no competition about it electric guitar is a shitload more badass then violin

  • agrees XD

  • yeah but what about electric violin?

  • Sorry, not good as original...

  • i don't like the distorsion...

  • You're fairly accurate and have the dexterity to ultimately play this piece perfectly- but you have to remember tabs fool you with phrasing. Especially with paganini, where there's only one Real way to phrase hand positions.

  • very cool man

  • A great accomplishment...bravo! Great adaptation

  • dude, dont rely on tabs. look at the sheet music because there are many wrong notes there.

  • Cool, just keep going at it day after day and it will sound terrific before you know it.

  • demasiada distorsion

  • many notes are wrong... FIND a true version

  • that is the true version stupidface

  • NO IT ISNT Im a violinist. i know every note of that piece.. and i know that many notes are wrong

  • its an arrangement, he can change whatever he wants so no notes are wrong...

  • so what... and this makes it bad?

  • @st4nny I was thinking the same

  • @st4nny

    this is steve vais arrangement

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @st4nny You are right and I know because I play this caprice pretty celan on guitar but you say "is a violin piece player in guitar", try to play some of Malmsteen, Vai, Satriani, Moore, Blackmore o Andres Segovia in violin and then we tell you what is wrong. dont be a "classical", he is playing pretty dirty but is trying good music. And for the guitarritst positive vote but practice this in clean guitar then turn down the dist till sounds like an overdrive and use a delay. Bye.

  • @st4nny sounds like ur takin away from this dude. If he's not playin every note accurately he might be playin by ear. Transcribing this piece this accurately to me seems like more of an accomplishment than than learning and knowing it note for note by reading sheet music.

  • @st4nny its called being a musician and changing the song to match your musical expression

  • @mc2trio or it's just mistakes. But still i thumbed up cuz its amazing.

  • @st4nny its different on guitar, but even as aguitarist is ay that most notes are wrong

  • @st4nny i very much agree... if you are going to cover this peice.. you better be note for note as well as having a good tone for your guitar.. i cant understand the distortion.

  • I actually liked the tone in this vid. It was a bit sloppy in parts but overall very impressive.

  • too much gain. a clean tone would have been nice

  • PAGANINI SE REVOLCARIA EN SU TUMBA

  • good but crappy tone

  • nice, a bit messy , but i dig this piece of music

  • are there the tabs???thanks!!

  • yes... Are there

  • good job man

  • Cool, a clean setting would sound better though

  • i like clasical music with lots of high gain, but that's just my opinion ;)

  • On a good amp, high gain doesn't mean shit faced distortion.

  • tabs?

  • You play realy good.....but the distor covers up the errors you made : /

  • You can play. But man. it sounds like shit. your right hand technique, dumping, and how you use pick is awful.

  • That is good.... Y...oroginal violin version.... I love Paganini and i can say now - "u re good" :)

  • didn't Jason Becker play this once?

  • watch?v=FmoRGrMBfIM

  • Your left hand is good but you should work on the right hand man.. the pick angle when you sweep is not the best

  • I gotta practice me some classical shredding! Thanks for posting!

  • its a good day in the world when u can actually tell what the video is because usually there not clear enough

  • Steve Vai couldn't even play this...

  • um...

  • That was Crossroads reference, laugh with me.

  • Yeah, I wasn't sure if you were being serious lol.

  • now, ralph macchio on the other hand...

  • you are sick man, how did you learn this?

  • Metal brings out the best in classical music - (Stratovarius, Other Melodeath)

Classical Brings out the best in metal - (Apocalyptica)

  • nice , but you're out of time

  • Stai sguaarrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn!!!

  • nice but your tone is annoying

  • i was going to say exactly the same. This guitar sounds awful

  • Proof that Classical music and Metal can be a lot alike! :D

  • please tabs please!!

  • It's paganini Caprice No5. You might just have to get the sheet music (it's everywhere in the violin world)

  • bzz bzz bzzz

  • nice

  • Thats....ok

  • That fast without alt. picking is impressive.

  • have u ever tried the caprice no 5 alternate picking? thats impossible, u just have to economy pic it :D

cool video but i miss the beginning!!!

this is just the second part ;-)

  • i'm pretty sure jason becker did it alternate pickin when he was 15, but then again he was playin since 5 and was a master :P

  • i want to see someone who is able to play the first part of the caprice without sweeping :D

dong an e-minor arpeggio over 4 octaves :D

good luck then, i consider myself beeing a pretty good player, of course way no steve vai but sth around eriyakundapu (th guy who posted this vid) and i see no chance in alternatepicking the beginning of caprice no.5 ... but just because i cant imagine, it doesnt mean, that there doesnt exist the possibility... if you find a vid.. pls tell me ;-)

  • if you wanna see someone doin it without sweeps watch jason becker rips or shreds and you should find it. pretty ill

  • Yeah that doesn't really work well here. Too much distortion and sloppy. Slow down. Some of the parts your sweeping, it's not articualate and more like you're strumming a chord instead of playing the notes separate. It's not about how fast or noise. Ever notice how some guys don't play as fast as some but it sounds faster because it's clean and they have a nice touch. It's about tone and touch.

  • having disrotiaon doesn't make it easier to play fast if anthing it's harder ( string noise)

  • That was good but it would be a lot better with out the extra disttortion and gain

  • i just bilieve that sertain songs should be played only on their "natural" instrument, quite good skill though!

  • play it with clean tone then wel talk

  • Could you play that agan but with a cleaner tone i want to hear all the notes, just so i can figure it out.

  • This is definitely awesome guitar playing but why do all these shredders have the worst tone? It sounds like rice in a tin can. This isn't meant to be a diss just a general observation of the shred videos on youtube.

  • Cause with more distortion and treble it's easier to play fast (:

Good job, dude in the video!

  • You mean easier to hide mistakes that you make?

  • yup and you cant really tell the correct notes because of the tone. i used to do the same thing, but u get over it once you get cleaner

  • this is what I love. The fact that you spent your time being awesome at something that matters, that being real guitar, not some life wasting thing like guitar hero. I like guitar hero but it's just a game. Real guitar is what I make my time worth. awesome job.

  • well done sir

  • This is the Jason Becker version...

  • jason becker never did a version of it.

STeve Vai did variation of it for the movie "Crossroads".

This is the actual Paganini caprice.

  • No no no no no, we're not talking about Crossroads at all, search for Jason Becker's guitar video, it's a segment, he has big massive hair on it, you watch HIM playing it all the way through at amazing speed.

  • oh yeah! i remember that one!

  • eh lol Jason Becker did play it almost the whole thing actually

  • no it's not

  • Is this buckethead playing?

  • far from it

  • Sweet! Maybe record a bit louder next time.please post more!
