  • hey the first few second of your video ,did not make easy , "if you don 't for sure that is panic attack go to E.R." For a person who is having a panic attack ,no felling are for sure , so with those words you are giving much more fear to the person ,since you say that may you have something worse .I like the video but i would cut the first seconds

  • advertisement while I'm having a panic attack and I need this video?? Thanks youtube.

  • Think your panic attacks are bad? Try having one with OCD then tell me which one's worse. You can't control your thoughts so full-scale panic attacks are inevitable.

Hey there! Have you tried anxiety zero technique (I think its at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cousin pretty much cured panick attacks with it.

  • I have panic attacks. Watching that lady is the cure. Hahaha! xD

  • Looking at this guy made my panic attack worse.

  • I'm still in school and I often find myself having them in class. This can range from bad stomach aches (nausea or jst stabbing pain caused by my stress induce GERD), to shaking and feeling like I can't breathe(or hyperventilation dependin on how bad the attack is).How can i help myself when in that situation?

  • @qtangelfire Hi, I had this problem too. What I find is best is just to go up to your teacher and ask to leave the room, they will obviously be able to tell you are distressed. Don't worry, I was always embarassed or scared they would say no, but I have found my fears have never been warranted, and teachers have always been very supportive and helpful. It also helps to tell a friend or someone sitting next to you, that way they can help if you can't express yourself to the teacher...

  • @qtangelfire I had a friend who would often accompany me if I had a panic attack in class and it helped a lot. The best thing to do I find is to ask to leave the second you feel yourself starting to have an attack, that way you won't be as panicky, so the rest of the class won't stare, and you will be able to talk to your teacher more confortably. Also, giving yourself space straight away can help you calm down before it becomes a full blown, stoppping breathing attack. Also, it might be an...

  • @qtangelfire idea to talk to your teachers outside of class, that way if you do start to have an attack, you can just raise you hand and they will understand and let you leave without questions. Finally, the thing that always helped me the most was to focus on my breathing, in for a count of four, out for a count of four. It helped calm me down. Remember though, if you can tell you can't calm down, try and get out of the classroom before things get worse. Hope this helped, pm me if you want :) x

  • @Ingle92protege That Exact Same Thing Happens to Me. ALWAYS My Left Arm...

  • i get panic attacks in the grocery store

  • I get panic attacks in the grocery store... so this did not help.

  • I never got them like her, my eyes just go red and I begin to get nervous plus the bad thoughts in my brain about my heart or if am going to faint or die, but then my panic goes away when I entertain myself

  • DUDE, YOU WERE THE WORSE. U LOOKED STRESSED AND SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SAID WERE SCARY. Find something else to do.

  • this is what i had when i was like 5 years old.

  • SHAVE

  • i've been sick with this anxiety and panic attacks for 20 years, its gotten a little better,i dont hide in the cupboards anymore. people always think this is a controlled thing and we need to get over it.my mom was a shrink and she was the hardest on me.

get over it? she isnt my favorite now,not many can handle this,i've run out of options

    and hope

  • A few years ago, I used to get them through bullying, and getting beat up alot

  • @lostcause1012 You're not alone. my 11 year old son is the same. :(

  • What if you are having a panic attack whilst on a roller coaster?? I always feel like jumping out while its in motion. I hate the feeling of losing my stomach. i also get this during turbulence on flights..

  • @TheCozzie99 Wow, how important... WHEN ON A ROLLER COASTER...

  • @Shydrasnake Yeah its really scary. Hence why I dont ride anything in an amusement park, Its too way too dangerous as I cant control the feeling of panic :(

  • "go to the ER and get a shot to calm down" - Good advice... except for 9/10 people with a panic disorder have wide spread phobias that include doctors, people touching them, needles and loosing control, all things associated with that Idea.

  • 1:10 dont leave the situation, this will only increase the anxiety of having a panic attack. Unfortunately i found this out the hard way and now have agoraphobia.

  • @rickymitchell945 hey, try a therapist. I just started having panic attacks, and at the moment i realized i was getting afraid of social situations for fear of panicking I stopped myself and tried to override my fears, but then i got another one and so i got someone. It's one of the best choices i've done

  • Haha! Spongebob!!! XD Thnks for the advice!

  • Can be the lonliest place in the world when going through such a thing

  • I suffer with panic attacks every day, offten when im driving my car or at friends houses but do my best to hide this. my chest gets tight,I get dizzy thinking im going to die. of course i went to ER with my tight chest, thinking im gona have a heartattack but the doctor told me I was fine.

when im having a panic attack my partener dosn't understand, she tells me to cop on,and theirs something wrong with me,to be honest im at my wits end,i dont want to take pills,i just need them to stop.

  • @tonyurmate are you ok?, i recommend you talk to a psychiatrist, it really really helps..

  • I used to suffer from horrible panic attacks. My first one I thought I was having a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. I don't get them anymore, the thing I found that works is compression. If I feel anxious and about to have a panic attack I lay on my stomach with my arms folded beneath me. It slows my breathing and it passes. If you find yourself somewhere you cant lie down, simply "hugging" yourself tightly works. Just a suggestion, hope it helps with fellow sufferers.

  • 1. YOU SHOULD NEVER LEAVE PLACES IF YOU ARE UNDER PANIC ATTACK BECAUSE YOUR BRAIN "REMEMBERS" AND "SAVES" THIS INFORMATION AND REACTION..SO EVERY TIME YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN THIS PLACE YOUR BRAIN WILL "TELL" YOU TO LEAVE AND YOU WILL END UP TO FELL SAFE ONLY IN YOUR HOME.

    2. YOU MUST LEARN HOW TO REACT WHEN UNDER PANIC ATTACK.EVERY PERSONS CURE DIFFERS.

HOLD THIS-NEVER LEAVE FROM A PLACE.LEARN TO REACT.

  • @Dimsworld I leave when the panic attack is overwhelming. However it is never a fail and you will only fear it if you dwell on it as a fail, it's really not about memory, it's about perspective. You tell yourself you are scared of a place and you are, you tell yourself you're not and you have a better chance at beating it. The less you think about it the better.

  • The bar exam was the worst anxiety situation ever.

They lock you in a tank for 10 hours a day, for 3 days, no water allowed, no mints, no gum, nothing. You cannot move. There is a monitor per 2 examinees watching your every move. If you get up, you're disqualified and lose your money, have to go through the re-filing process and wait 6 months to take the exam again.

I swear, the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay have more rights than a bar exam taker.

  • I'm not sure whether i have panic attacks or anxiety attacks. Does anyone know if the blood pressure gets very high during the episodes? And how much would that be?

  • @thaisnfriendss hi i suffer a lot of panic attacks, and your blood pressure dose rise with a panic attack but the doctor told me when i went into ER that it was up just a little bit,so don't worry.

the important thing is to stop them by talking to a professional and learn how to relax because when you get older and still have them, that can create medical problems.

but the main thing is not to worry and say to yourself during an attack " I survived the last one,ill survive this one". relax

  • I would really like to thank Ben for the wonderful suggestions, not only for the person struggling with the panic attacks, but also for the people around them who care and want to know the bast way to help. Great advice...carolinez.

  • I had a panic attack the other day in the cinemma. it was so sudden n i wa sso relaxed it came out of nowhere. I hav had a lot of stress lately and when it finally came, i seriously thought that was it, this is what its like having a heart attack. What was worst was that i lost my memory slightly n didnt recognise my partner next to me, everything sort of banked out, i couldnt breathe, i was shaking, feeling sick and its like ur just waiting to slowly shut down n die. its herendous.

  • IIIIIIIIII agree entirely, isjustchristie.

  • I want to share how simple exercise alliviated episodes. It works for me & may work for you too. I do streching, bendings & mild weight lifting using dumb bells evening & morining for about 15 mins. I noticed it was gone after about 2 weeks. As time passed by, I still experience attacks once in a while but the intensity is not as before. Also in my mind, I know I'm healthy because of my daily routine. In my sub concsious mind, I feel I'm strong & its just fear, not real when panic comes.

  • I have horrible panic attack they bring me to tears my body shakes and my heart races feels like its being squeezed it feels like im dieing like im having a heart attack its one of the scariest feeling iv ever had in my life

  • Increasing blurred vision, heart palpitations, breathlessness, increasing muscle wekaness. Its scary stuff.

  • Ive had many panick attacks. They never look like what she is demonstrating....

  • @brittanymae279

yea you're right...usually when someone is having a panic attack they can't stand/sit still.

  • @brittanymae279 its more asthma attack that shes showing. i start shaking mad and cant stop and den faint!

  • @brittanymae279 yes, thats is right I star to swear so much

  • @brittanymae279 ...Dido, most people dont even know im having them. i dont hyperventilate i just feel like im dying then I get really dizzy and I black out.

  • have a really cold shower b4 you leave the house.

  • kids dont have panick attacks? ok pal

  • I'm 14 and I get them. The problem is, i get them during my classes and I can't leave the room. TY

  • That sucks, same thing here. Maybe when school starts you should just put "anxiety/panic attacks" on the class syllabus where it says "medical conditions I should know about". Yes and the guy is wrong, I'm 17 and I get them, it just started in recent months

  • yeah, I had my first one when I was 15, heart palpitations lasted more than 24 hours with that one too cause I couldn't relax.

  • yeah you can, u may feel like u can't or feel embarrassed about it a bit but its better to leave the room than to make it worse by worrying about the whole class realizing ur having one or something. U can always run out and go to the bathroom and explain later to ur teachr. well not every single teacher will understand but isnt it more important u get outa there?

  • omg!!!! same problem. yesterday i had a really bad clausterphobia panic attack at a pep rally and they said "Your fine, dont fake it." i was shaking after. worse part was i was up high on the bleachers in the middle. i had panic attacks ever since i was 10

  • @dukeyfreak95 First make sure that what you are experiencing is a panic disorder, i went through my childhood with this and if you feel the need LEAVE the classroom. Talk to the teacher after, there is nothing she can do about it if you have a panic disorder.

  • Im meant to say this guy has it all wrong if he thinks only adults get them.

  • es, thats what im saying. i dont get panic attacks but im 14 too

  • dude I get panic attacks all the time and Im young

  • Yes, I know. Look at the pay I said that. I said "ok pal" saying, "ya right"

  • I know dude I know man it's good to know people that suffer with this so that I may try my best to help.

  • Pretty sure they do, Pal.

  • OMG I KNOW!! I was being sarcastic.

  • didn't seem like it

  • that's a weird haircut dude but you are kinda handsome in a goofy sort of way. Thanks for the info.

  • All I do is grab the shit out of my balls and rip all the hairs on my wittle head.

  • I had a question for everyone. How come sometimes when I first fall asleep, I'll jump and it wakes me up? Does this happen to anyone else and if so do you know what its called?

  • It happens to me too and I used to worry about it. The nervous system has built in defense against being struck, burned or falling. That sudden jolt occurs when there is a miscommunication between the mind and body. Occasionally your mind will "forget" to tell your body that you are laying down to go to sleep. As you drift off the body suddenly thinks that it is falling. That is why you are so suddenly alert regardless of how tired you were when you tried to go to sleep. I hope this helps.

  • When i had my first panic attack i was so scared. I kept thinking of my parents and i was at work at the time. I work the night shift and earlier that day i had a very BIG energy drink without eating anything. That energy drink lasted me for 3 hours after i was done minutes later it happen. All i kept thinking about was death i couldn't stop sweating. Its the worst feeling i have ever felt.

  • i suffered panic for a few yrs now. At worst now a days i suffer high anxiety or a minor panic attack. So let me speak from experience. The comments on here state "what if..." I was the same. What if, causes a big panic attack and makes u more anxious coz ur worrying. You cannot see the future, u dont know if one will happen. And, yes - what if one does happen. Relax! Panic attacks DO NOT KILL - EVER! Learn they can happen, and pass,I know its scary but they do pass! See a dr as well. GD LUCK

  • I thought it was good.

I whent to china with my dad, and we discused what we would do if i had a panick attack on the plane, this helped because i dident end up paniking about what im going to do if i have a panick attack, and i dident have one because i was so chilled out.

If you are in a class, sometimes i ask to leave, or i just walk out, and tell a friend what is going on.

    then they tell the teatcher.

sometimes i just sit it out, concentrate on the work, it may help.

    xx

  • hello....what if your a child in the class!!!!
