You can actually request a titan from specialized corps that build them, or try to build one with your corp/ally.

Lol for the people that keep asking about this I'll spell it out. A Titan will not fit in a non-player owned station. To dock a Titan or a supercarrier requires that you own your own station specifically for the Titan. From there you can switch ships and put all the guns on the ship. The problem with owning your own station in low sec ( which is the only place a Titan can fly because concord cannot fight titans) is that any raiding party that scans down your station can warp in and destroy the

@Laofse A titan is basically a moving station with extra large turrets and DD device on it, so yes smaller ships can dock with it...well they can store thier ships in it, but they cant dock in it as if it was an actual station which would make more sense since its huge enough to hold a docking bay like that.

Null Sec (0.0) is where titans are at. most people want to become supercapital pilots, but it is not worth it. You can't dock up, so you are stuck inside. Can't take it out on your own, because you will get ganked. I wouldn't go looking for one either, since one volley can shatter the hull of most carriers. Also, you can't even get to that space, because you will get killed faster than you can say "HOLY S#!$!" And yes... They are quite big... I was wondering what that big thing was under the POS

@Roland9x my friend, allow me to introduse you to a wonderful in game item called PLEX for a lousy 250-300mill you can add 30 days on to your account. now if your in a good corp that has base set up in 0.0 able to mine high end ore, you can make that in a few hours>_> it's just a matter of paying for the first month or 2.

point is for fleet bonuses and moving large support fleets to systems instantly w/ its Jump Bridge to allow that fleet to engage hostile fleets. also now i guess you could even argue for it to engage hostile BS fleets/pop carriers

forget how much they cost, imagine how much it takes to get the skills for it and to make it since you can't actually 'buy' them. You have to buy the blueprint and then get the minerals to build it. Then comes the bad part...building it which takes weeks to do unless you're skilled I'm not sure how long it will take you.

yes it is, but a titan isnt just any ship. has an extreemly great stategic value.

can be used to jump fleets of battleships as if they all had jump drives (no flying through staregate after stargate), their Doomsday device cause's massive damage, and they can be rather hard, but also easy to kill. in my experience, u never take a titan out unless u got the fleet to help defend it. you also need soverignty of space to build em.

Minmatar ships are generally inferior to other races in the areas of dps and tank, mainly due to their lack of a true speciality, other than speed. And good luck speed tanking a titan, btw. In the end, though, the difference is small enough that you might as well fly the coolest looking ships, which is where the Ragnarök comes in.
