  • Is this a real groupon commercial? It's rather discouraging instead of bringing members. I can't believe that Americans are dealing with this shit and participate!! You live in a psychotic world that's all about money and shopping!

  • What a shame, Groupon's supporting retail therapy addicts. This is sooo offensive. (only joking!!)

The Tibet ad was a huge risk. For those who still don't get it., you should be targeting your outrage at China. China exploits Tibet in order to control access to rich resources in this region (water, mining).

Like it or not, the ad was effective. In a results oriented Ad world, this one clicked bec' it generated even further media attention. You remember the brand name.

  • FUCK YOU GROUPON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey! Let's have a Martin Luther King look-alike serve Boy George (another 80s has been) some fried chicken and watermelon! Funny! Ironic! Retro!

And THEN Groupon ask people to give to the NAACP! Oh sweet innoculation!

  • After seeing the Tibet-themed spot on Super Bowl night, I have one word for Groupon: Fire your ad agency! (okay, that's...like... 4 words.)

  • holy crap. I'm a bit on the PC "sensitive sally" side, but this was actually kinda funny. Unlike the Tibet one which was plain offensive.

  • Damn, people need to laugh more. That part about the mirror is hilarious.

  • @thesaltyseacaptain i agree. that was funny as hell. LIGHTEN UP AMERICA, everyone who says F Groupon is a pussy and needs to take their lips of there moms tit

  • @thesaltyseacaptain RIGHT!?!??!? LOL

  • @thesaltyseacaptain RIGHT!?!??!? LOL My favorite part.

  • Groupon VP of marketing TO DO list:

Damage control: Increase PR budget by 200%

    Fire my agency

Hire them back and fire them again

    Slap the creative director

    Update my linkedin profile

    Forget about 2011

Call LivingSocial to see what’s up

  • @merylsf here's a todo list for you, find something better to do than trolling the internet and posting this lame reply on every groupon video

  • @Sinvex1 Come on, I posted it only on 2 or 3 videos. I tried on their FB page but they disabled the comments...

Also, I think you also copy paste your comments, no?

Also, I got 5 cumulated thumbs up - this is called internet fame!

But seriously, those ads sucked big time

  • Groupon making jokes about issues that destroy peoples lives. Makes me wonder about the intelligence of their senior management. Actually I don't wonder, I believe that hey are not very bright.

  • They should have aired this one instead of the Tibet one

  • Fuck groupon. Your fucked up Tibet ad won you one UNsubscriber.

  • this one got rejected and you put that terrible tibet one on the air? somebody ought to lose their job.

  • love this ad!! He is a great actor, or is he acting??

  • @sssbos It's a documentary, he's a real person, and... a real Groupon addict. After seeing Groupon's Tibet TV spot I have unplugged from them and

"Shame on them... those bastard people!"(thanx to Christopher Guest)

  • They should have rejected the Tibetan one.

  • Sam is hot!

  • Who rejected this exactly?

  • This was actually a really good concept.....tying in with Mom clipping coupons, etc. I have a simple idea for Groupon. Instead of the traditional advertising model of just making stuff up (we are tired of being bombarded with bullshit anyway), why not have actual Groupon customers talking about the great value they are getting locally and how exciting it is to be a part of the Groupon community? Let the customers sell the brand.
