Really great game. I played Boulder Dash in my childhood for hours and hours. Emerald Mine was a nice clone, too. If you like this type of games, you might want to check out GET THE GEMS, my
homage to Boulder Dash. Just search youtube for "get the gems walkthrough" !
omfg....I LOVED!!!!! LOVED! This game when I was like 11...I had it on a floppy and one day when my brother got mad at me, he deleted it. I'm 30 years old now and I've been missing it ever since...
Yea, this game ruled even though it was hard as hell :D. There was so many different versions of it and so many levels. And there was the editor too... *sighs* Good old days...
The PCjr version was better than both the 800XL and the C64, but I fear that version is lost to history. More colors, better sound effects, better visual effects.

Sucks compared to the ORIGINAL Atari version. What's with the gap between the scoreline and playfield?

The Atari 800XL version is better than this.
Foebane72 4 years ago
I think that WAS the Atari version. I had it and that's exactly the way I remember it.
titusL 4 years ago
No, it is the C64. The Atari version has no gap between the scoreline and the screen, and the SFX are different. Look around on YouTube.
Foebane72 4 years ago
Hm. Well, the differences must be pretty subtle then.
