Bei mir gibt es keine "Medien", sondern Probanden. Und sie haben keine Panik, weil ich von Anfang an Vertrauen baue und sie wissen, dass ich nichts gegen ihren Willen mache.

Wie hast du deine "ersten Hypnosen" hingekriegt? Ich kenne zwar viele Techniken und ich habe es schon ein paar mal geschafft, aber irgendwie schaffe ich es nicht, Freiwillige zu finden. Die meisten denken immer sie würden garantiert zu einem Wildschwein....

@matgau: I'm living in quebec. Messmer is awesome I saw him one time on the tv. Messmer isn't his real name. Back in time, there was a famous hypnotist called Mesmer. Now, in english, there is even a verb with is name: to mesmerize. And, in fallout, the mesmetron is named after that.

Das lässt sich nicht sicher vorhersagen. Wahrscheinlich würde er aber in Hypnose bleiben und wenn er die Hand wieder an den Baum kriegt, würde sie wieder festkleben.

What it takes to be able to hypnose other people does everybody can do it just by training or its some sort of gift ?

It's like learing a musical instrument: Everybody who is interested can learn it. Everybody can perform, everybody can have success. But not everybody will become a master. Mastery takes a certain amount of "gift", but also a lot of compassion, commitment and practice. But you don't need to be a master to be good and successful. Everybody who is commited can learn it.

hey sir!... i saw a show last night from a guy named Messmer in quebec. He's pretty good here. And at the beggining he's doing something to see who's receptive to hipnosis so they go on the stage and i wasnt one of them, because my mind wasnt receptive i guess. Is there a way to become receptive so i can get hypnotized. i want to experience that

If you don't seem 'receptive', an unconscious part of you believes that there is a risk if you would go in hypnosis. This is especially true in a stage setting. You might very well go into deep hypnosis if you were in the office of a therapist who you really trust.

Very true Dirk. A lot of people starting out are asking for word for word scripts and are afraid to trip over words. The fact that they become so fixated and stressed is actually sending that same message to their subjects.

Just talk and keep in the pace and little trip ups are normal people are smart enough to understand.

Very good tip Dirk, you must be a great instructor, mine never told me this I had to learn this myself.

I never taught seminars in the US. I did in the UK and of course over here in Holland.

To perform in the US is great (which goes for both hypnosis and mentalism). The Americans --eventhough some are very skeptical-- are genuinely interested and give it a fair chance.
