@sXe170 Its a competition dude, it should'nt be easy! The guy also just played the entire song for you right in front of the camera so there is no excuse!

Figuring out stuff by ear is really important and helpful for your progress as a musician, it teaches you alot, try it out, the more you do it the better you will get :).

@MetalGuitarChris This competition was based around how well you could play the song, not if you could transscribe it or not. Also, he isn't close to enough to be able to identify each fret he is holding down. And seeing that there aren't any covers posted on youtube, i doubt anyone submitted.

@sXe170 Meh I think it was both to be honest, you are not going to be playing the song well if you are playing it wrong are you? He is close enough for it to be pretty obvious what chords he is forming, what techniques he is using and what area of the fretboard he is approaching each section from, that should be more than enough for anyone with a bit of patience to figure out.

Cool competition idea, shame I only just stumbled across it, clearly it was not advertised well enough or something?

@MetalGuitarChris Still, regardless of how close you played it, its bound to be wrong, especially considering that tapping part is difficult not only to perform, but also to transcribe.

And Arsis is a pretty underground band, so yea, not alot of people knew of this.

I see it like this, if a note has a non # note a half step from it, then the half step before it is a flat. Example: C C# D Eb E F F# G G# A Bb B

not everyone can learn from the video(depends on the levels of different guitarists) , if this can be transferred into a guitar pro tab it would be much easier. After all THIS IS ARSIS!!, At least give us the tuning used.
