My 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee after electrical fire

@metioriter Of course, but there was no sign of a problem when I drove it home and parked it. It was sitting there long after I got out and started an electrical fire by itself.

Let the insurance company total it then ask how much to buy it back for scrap. (usually around $500-$800) Then part it out and make some money.

If you go search on the internet it's easy for your car to catch on fire if you don't wire the PA system correctly. After all Jeeps, or in fact cars, don't just catch on fire randomly.

@G0twood I did not say I had a PA system, read my post again. It was a fan relay 95% chance as I have the video where it went on fire from start to finish as I have cameras all around my house.

@G0twood Errr, actually they can. Google "ford cruise control fires". It's not just Fords either -- no car is fireproof, and judging by the amount of parking lot car fires here on YouTube, cars CAN spontaneously combust. Afterall, just because the ignition is off, doesn't mean there isn't live electricity running through the vehicle.

I noticed you have a pa system or radio. I want to get something that I can talk into so people outside can hear me. Something like a loudspeaker but the speaker would be in the hood if you know what im talking about. You know where I can pick one up?

@The415guy 100% YES, get a CB with a PA system option and you can get them on the Intenrent, Rado Shack or a local CB shop. less than $100 for a decent one, or even a GREAT one is $200 or less. Mine was $60 or so plus the CB antenna and with wiring and such I paid abput $125 total. If I added a PA system it would be another $25 or so.

Thanks and bought an 06 Grand Cherokee Limited with a HEMI and dual locking differentials (Quadra Drive II system) and modded that up. Check out my other videos if you are into 4 wheeling, but the new silver one I have a few stock videos and now 4" Superlift on 34" tires and a lot of armor so will be posting some heavy wheeling videos :-)

I am going to buy anlother Cherokee, but an Overland for the better differentials and better engine/trans.  it will get a 4" liftr, fully armored an bigger more aggressive tires. Stay tuned for some crazy videos coming on Youtube :-)

@2000ViperGTS You shouldn't get another Jeep Grand Cherokee. Consumer Reports gave the 2010 Grand Cherokee very poor ratings in Predicted Reliability, Owner Costs, and Predicted Depreciation.

@TranCendenZ I just bought a used 2006 Cherokee Limited with a Hemi and the Quadra Drive II systrem (both locking diffs) and I am modding it up now with my old armor , but getting a 4" lift and much bigger rims and tires (at least 34").

Dude, these are a bag of shit! a lot of them are catching fire from overheated transmissions and electrical. Google "Jeep Fire" and look on Youtube...personally...I wouldnt take a FREE Jeep......
