  • "1 out of 8 teenagers is functionally illiterate."

ROFL, nowadays it should be something like...

"1 out of 8 teenagers is functionally literate."

  • I've seen many containers of Molly McButter sitting unused in the cabinets of friends and family. I never did try it, myself.

  • @eonurae i couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Haha, I have every episode set up to record on my DVR. That show is awesome, and it never gets old no matter how many times I watch it.

  • This made me crave old Burger King... how it used to be when we were kids.. :(

  • Ugh I love the old food commercials :D

  • I was in my early teens when most of there showed. Im 33 now, and its funny how when some of the songs play I still know all the words and tunes, LMAO!

  • HONEY HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME

  • @DaDaWgLLS, lol DBZ refference FTW!

  • i wonder if molly mcbutter and mrs. dash were made by the same company.

  • what a dork!! dammit dude if you wanna bitch about the dressing, make your own damn dinner lmao

  • @80sCommercialVault

I have seen over 200 of your videos and have always wondered, how are you able to credit all the celebrities in the commercials? Are they listed somewhere else or do you just have a good eye? And thanks for the posts.

  • @tae518 I have a good eye, as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of useless information. Most of the celebs in this volume are listed in the ads BTW.

  • nice to see old usa ads

  • my mom used shout stain stick

  • 02:24 I still have the exact blanket thats on that couch.

  • molly mcButter was the most fucked

  • Wait, PAY PHONES IN HONG KONG ARE PINK?!

    Mind: blown.

  • "I love mushrooms, she doesn't." "Divorce that slut."

  • what did you do, record every commercial and keep the tapes thinking someday you could share all the nostalgia with the world?

  • @Anarchist86ed All of the tapes these commercials are taken from are from TV shows and movies recorded off the air. The original purpose of their recording was not to preserve commercials.

  • @80sCommercialVault

Thank you for preserving TV history. Brings back many memories. =D

  • These "emulator-achiever" targeted ads haven't changed much in style in 21 years. Middle of the road as ever.

  • OMG Molly McButter! Do they still sell that these days?!

  • @MiraiMaki A quick google search says he was freed on April 30th, 1990 (The day after these aired).

  • I love how they advertise that Burger King can get you a date ..LoL

  • WHY did I get rid of all those old VHS tapes I had?!?! I used to set my VCR to record some shows while I went to school. All that nostalgia gone to waste. I am a moron -_-

  • @temprise you wern't the only I did the same thing me and my brother was just talking about that.

  • No explanation required.

  • the PSA

  • April 1990, I had JUST turned 1. But why do I feel like I remember that Shout commercial??

  • @LadieTiger I know, me too I was like 3 XD maybe the Shout company just stuck with that ad campaign for many years. I feel like they were still using that song in Shout commercials in the 2000's lol

  • 25 LBS IN 5 MONTHS ISN'T FAST

  • @freakylocz14 Not really.

  • hahahaha butter sprinkles!!!!????!!!!

  • I looked at Wikipedia to learn more about Orville Redenbacher and it says he dies in 1995. He had a heart attack in a jacuzzi at 88yrs old. I guess he couldn't take the hot water.

  • Check your newspaper for showtimes. Ha...no internet back then!

  • Wow quite surprised by the San Jose News Network and Capitol Expressway Dodge. I live in San Jose.

  • -Ahhh I remember "In Living Color" and "Living Single".

-Those people made the Dodge Shadow and Plymouth Sundance look so tiny.

-Wow how many times did that guy say, "How could you do that to me?".

-I used to put that Molly McButter ALL Over my popcorn.

  • a brand new dodge caravan for 11888 man what a deal now 11888 would only cover about half the price

  • I was 9 then, and I remember so many of those commercials! We used to get Molly McButter - ewe!

  • $9000 for a car...I wish! I remember those days.

  • @ReneeBo haha yeah $9000 back in in 1990 would be like at least $15000 today.

  • @ReneeBo yea and dollar a gallon or cheeper gas too

  • Both "Synclair James" aka Kim Coles & "Regina Hunter" aka Kim Fields looks very pretty in this ad. Thanks for the memories. Take care. Later- Stolee

  • molly mc butter LMFAO

  • is it just me, or are these commercials selling the EXACT same things commercials of today are? fast food and weight loss. I guess we still need to eat unhealthy food, and then lose the weight quick.

  • Molly McButter! ewww!

  • The little kid at 5:20 grew up to be Barry Soetoro...

  • its kinda funny how often when the commercial is for weight loss it usually involves women needing to lose weight. Thought in my eyes they didn't have to nor do they need to lose weight.

  • cant believe you could get a car for under 9000 and that airbags were optional

  • Did anyone notice how in the "Shout Power Stick" commercial, the announcer says "In tests against Spray n' Wash stick, WOMEN chose Shout, 2 to 1." Now, I'm no feminist, but... Didn't men do laundry in the 90's?

  • that molly butter looks nasty >_>'

  • @80sCommercialVault I agree whole heartedly

  • how do you have all these commercials? Did you record them back during the 90s? On video cassestte?

I would've loved to grow up during this time. Just my opinion.

  • @AL3Xmotodude Yes, they're all from VHS/Beta tapes of Movies and TV Shows recorded in the 80's/90's.

  • @AL3Xmotodude It was an awesome time

  • @zammap that's because today's tv shows suck so much that we'd rather watch 90's commercials.

  • LOL The lady from the Molly McButter commercial ate that bite of potato with orgasmic enthusiasm. I'll have what she's having.

  • I take pride in the fact that I was a 90's kid. loved it. I miss it so much. the 2000's are crap!

    no shit 90's commercial makers!

  • Thank you so much 80sCommercialVault man for going through all the annoying work of transferring, editing, and uploading these.

You were even nice enough to include what order the commercials appearin in the description do you have ocd too?

  • 3:14 fucking annoying

  • Also something you don't see much today: "starts/coming soon at a theater near you" as opposed to a universal release date everywhere; distribution back then of film was still based on reception before reaching "middle America". And most importantly, no Web addresses (the first appeared in 1994 I believe).

  • ??? Movie release dates for major films were just as universal back then.

  • wow 25 lbs. in 5 months? at least she was honest unlike a lot of commercials these days says they lost like hundreds of pounds within weeks

  • Notice in the Isuzu ad the absence of the typical "Professional driver on a closed course. Do not attempt" fine print you see in every car commercial today.

Do not attempt what? Driving the car I just bought?

  • that suit you paid 375 dollars for you could get in thailand for fifteen U.S. dollars!

  • Molly McButter! No way!

  • lol! Those cars are supposed to be "sporty"?

  • Slim fast was THE diet of the 90s... And cars for under 9000? I laughed so hard... I can't even afford an upscale preowned 2000 model...

  • OMG the Sprint AT&T war, and the needle at the end of every Spring commercial. Those where the days!

  • OMG, I remember those SHOUT commercials HAHAHAHAHA. Man, I miss the 90s.

  • @RoyalHustler09 They still have them. I'll admit that commercials aren't like they used to be but some are just the same as the 90's and early 2000's.

  • i never knew sprint was a home service phone company..now its all cell phones. haha funny how things have changed so much.

  • "crap" macaroni n cheese :l

  • Thanks. I love these old commercials. Commercials were a little longer back then, but they were usually pretty creative, and entertaining.

  • Growing up in San Jose and seeing these commercial was just awesome.

  • My mom did too! I would offer to take it to the kitchen and also sip whatever was left. I was a weird kid. The chocolate was very good but sometimes my mom would use whipped cream or whipped topping as well so it was like a milkshake, haha. But yes, they definitely still sell it, I saw a display of all types of SlimFast products in Walmart the other day.

  • "...But only C&R has the same suit for $269.00"... and now Value Village has that same suit for $5.00 lol

  • Ultra slimfast, give us a week, we'll take off the weight. Lol! I remember when commercials could lie like that.

  • 1:19-1:20, "in addtion to our convenient schedules" LOL, I haven't heard that sentence in a long time.

  • Kim Fields also starred along with Kim Coles in the tv show Living Single w/ Queen Latifah. I used to love that show.

  • Yeah its the already made shakes. I haven't seen powder shakes from them in a long time.

  • i love all the outfits hahaha

  • Loving the BK commercial.

  • Wow, these commercials were on almost 20 years ago? Yeah, that doesn't make me feel old..

  • I always wanted a mullet when I was 6. I had mushroom-shaped hair back then!

  • Airbags, ring a ding ding!

  • sporting cars for under 9 THOUSAND DOLLARS?! oh wow, i remember thinking that was a lotta money...under 9 thousand today is just rent money now.

  • yea but that's an Isuzu, which is a cheap asian throwaway piece of crap.

  • I think I tasted it too, the chocolate one, my mom told me it was a "canned milkshake" it was good, but it gave you horrible, nightmarish stomach problems and headaches...

  • hahaha that beat that goes with the BK commercial is funky

  • love the eurocentric airline commercial

  • 00:30 new cars for $9,000

  • Head of the class was great

  • Man the 90's were colorful. But the 2000s are just shades of grey.

  • @cron78 your 100% right, since 2000 EVERYTHING has sucked! Modern technology hasnt made things cooler....
