It was nice when he got the original band back together in 1979 for VJ5 but here it was 10 years later and he was trying to do it again! He always wanted this to be HIS song. He finally did re-record it on one of his own albums... What a putz. I used to love Charlie Daniels and I still have great respect for the man but I think he lost some of his integrity along the way. He is still a great musician & American tho.

Start with some "Neil Young W/Crazy Horse". I think you would like the faster, electric Neil Young tunes but his slower, acoustic tunes are gr8 too!!

@howtodohelp...alotta good music came from the 60's too...jimi hendrix, janis joplin, the doors, ironbutterfly, the beatles, just to name a few...if you like lynyrd skynyrd then you need to listen to the marshall tucker band...they have the southern rock style similar to skynyrd...but listen to their older stuff when toy caldwell was singing lead vocals...
