Revan was originally the snake when he led Malak into the Mandolorian Wars and Malak was the boy, who of course is eventually killed by Revan, the snake. Revan is still the snake when Jolee Bindo joins the party, and Jolee becomes the boy, since Revan clears the way through the small village of Kashyyk and gets rid of poachers so Jolee can leave, with the potential of being betrayed by Revan at the Rakaten Temple. Finally, Revan is the boy and the Sith Emperor the snake, since he captures Revan.
I love Jolee Bindo. Gray Jedi have no side but the Force. Light Side, Dark Side, there's no such thing except in the minds of people. He gets that, when so few others do.
I disagree with people saying Jolee Bindo is light side. He is neutral when it comes to the force. Jolee is a very GOOD character, but I think they were trying to draw a distinction with him, a distinction between being a good or wise character and just devotion to being "light" or "dark" Jolee devotes himself to wisdom and his own perceived good more than pidgeonholing himself into an ideology
@SpawnMoreOverlords I like Jolee b/c all of his explanations and metaphors and philosophical stuff would have been a great way to explain the Jedi and emotion thing in the movies. The movies downgrade it too much. Not that they're awful but the average person might not understand why the Jedi are the way they r and why Jolee left b/c of their stubborness. It applies to real life in more ways than 1 and in a bigger way than ppl realize.
@yarealpoof i think people are wrong to say Jolee Bindo is neutral, i also think people are wrong about the character being only "slightly" towards the light, i think hes just as "good" or on the light side, as any jedi, maby even more depending on the character, being a jedi isn't the only "good side" faction/ philosophy in the story of star wars.
From what I understand, the snake is meant to be Revan and the man is Jolee. I think Jolee makes a premonition that eventually something will happen where Revan could turn against Jolee (the snake bite) and Jolee will try and help him through it. I think thats what it means but don't quote me :D
i look of jolee as comical relief as well. some of the things he says are hilarious. "you know whats wrong with today's youth? THEY'RE TOO YOUNG!" its so funny
I just thought it was jolee's way of saying that he knew what revan was and wanted to keep him the fuck out of trouble. And by trouble I mean keep him from building another giant death fleet and murdering a few million more people.
I know what Jolee is saying. The young boy was not following the snake at all, knowing it was dangerous he tried to lead it where it could harm no one. He probably knew of the risk but gave it all to protect innocents. This may forshadow of how Revan left to the Outer Rim on his own, trying to lead the True Sith away from his friends without causing them harm.

Jolee is way better than Kreia. You don't need to be super mysterious to be wise.

i wish there was jedi with jolee's philosophy in the movies somewhere, i like that he isn't 100% anything, he sort of walks his own road.
personally one of my favorite characters of all time, not just from the KOTOR series, but all video games

Its called a grey jedi, or "neutral" as you might wanna put it
Fir3Dir3 2 years ago
@Fir3Dir3, yeah but even more than that he sort of dosen't even want to be called a jedi, I feel like he's completely his own class
he's a smuggler, hermit, ecologist, force sensitive, grumpy old dude
and he's NOT neutral, he leans towards the light
grey jedi just isn't unique enough a term is what i meant.

@MegaBadbooy50
exactly, that's what I was trying to say, and you're right, he IS just as much light side as everybody else

My favorite part of this game with Jolee always was his little crack back on Korriban.
Lashowe: Do you know how many Sith there are on this planet?
Jolee: 12! No, wait, 13!
Priceless.

Jolee Bindo on the Sith:
"Bad bad men. Women too, to be fair. Oh, yes. They make a fine sandwich, also, heh, heh, heh. But don't tell the Jedi Council I said that."
Best line ever.
