Saw it years ago on an arctic survival program,done it, aint nothin special, it works with wd40, brake cleaner, butane,deodorant,any flamable aerosol.

@chillincruisin big truck tires dont expand to the bead as easy as car tires do and if you dont have enough air preasure then you can spray starting fluid into the tire to make it expand quicker so that the edge of the tire will pop on to the bead
we take the valve core out and put the air hose on it then spray starting fluid inside the tire. it gets really crazy when you have to put a concrete mixer tire on a wheel. the front tire on a mixer is like 3 times the width of that tire.

I used to use a clip on air chuck with about a 8 foot hose on it. I'd spray the ether in the tire , then make a "path" of ether about 2 feet from the tread along the floor. Then I'd toss a match to where the ether started and at the same time one of the other guys would connect the air hose to pressure. A lot of times it was winter & the tires were cold & stiff. You'd have to light 'em up like 5 times before the tire was soft enough to seat. I think we burned the innerliner out of some of em!
This is how I have always seen it done, cept the craazy mexicans I worked with at the machine shop used weedeater gas instead, lmao! They were cool guys though, haha. Weedeater gas the mans fuel for mounting a tire!

There is this thing called a CHEETAH......seats the bead with a huge burst of air. I work on tractor trailer combos for a living, the tires do NOT always seat if you take the core out....

When the either explodes inside the tire, it causes a high amount of engery against the tire casing all the sudden, just like hitting a deep pot hole on the road. I've seen tires where someone used either to seat it and not to far down the road, the tire blew out with signs of severe stress on the cords

I used to use a clip on air chuck with about a 8 foot hose on it. I'd spray the ether in the tire , then make a "path" of ether about 2 feet from the tread along the floor. Then I'd toss a match to where the ether started and at the same time one of the other guys would connect the air hose to pressure. A lot of times it was winter & the tires were cold & stiff. You'd have to light 'em up like 5 times before the tire was soft enough to seat. I think we burned the innerliner out of some of em!

This is how I have always seen it done, cept the craazy mexicans I worked with at the machine shop used weedeater gas instead, lmao! They were cool guys though, haha. Weedeater gas the mans fuel for mounting a tire!
