What type of ammo would you recommend for the PSL, I have heard about them being picky, but overall great video very informative I will have to try it out when I get mine.

@The5swag I have no problems for ammo. But stay with a low weight round. AKA "Low Ball". Most any surplus ammo works just fine. I havent had any jams or misfires.

woudnt that mess with the harmonics of the barrel if its pushing on the barrel?

@rewardboy1 I have put 400 rounds threw it since, I havent seen a change at all in the rifle as far as accuracy

@rewardboy1 Im getting mine in and plan on taking it out to 500 meters. Ill post a response with some pics and shooting vids if i can. That is my primary concern is with the harmonics getting all F%$@ed up, specially with it being a thinner barrel.

Have you shot your PSL-54C at distance? How accurate is she out to 300 - 500 yards? I've heard she can be picky with ammo.. is that true?

@Metzgermeist To be quite honest I havent shot past 100 yards. But you have to remember its a thin barrel, AK action SVD style rifle

I have to chime in on this one. I saw this video and set out to put a bipod on my PSL, but literally everywhere I looked was sold out of the Shooter's Ridge adapter. I found a part in my local gun store that looks almost identical. It's a Harris Bipod Adapter #5. Just mounted it up and it seems like it'll hold well. I'll have to see how it performs when I go to sight it in.

@DarkPaladinLoki Yeah mines holding up pretty well. I might for what it is. I think its the cleanest way to install a bipod on one of these rifles. Let me know though

yeah, i had that small clearance issue, about 2-3 good taps got it in. my buddy had the sam prob but he was too scared to give it some good taps so he got some sand paper and sanded the edge just a bit. it fits perfect. sweet vid man

saw his video and used it to install my bipod. you did a great job, too, and it's a little clearer to watch. somewhat related though, do you shoot anything heavier than the 147 or 148 grain bullets through your rifle? if so, 1. is there really any difference on impact points and 2. does it wear too much on your rifle? Just wondering. Thanks, and keep on makin the great videos.

Well great, so far without it being shot im very happy with it. And no I still stay away from heavy ball ammo. But with light ball surplus im gettting about 2 MOA at 100 yards

Awesome!!!  Looks tight!!! Sounds like some guys are concerned about the plate touching the barrel and that effecting accuracy. Sounds like another vid!!! Great job on the vid Bra!!!!

thats what I was thinking, with that plate touching, it is going to change the harmonics of the barrel.

Im not sure. I know another guy that tried this. But if it does effect anything. A very small amount of sanding will drop the plate just enough to clear the barrel
