I should say, that when i saw the blog post on the official blog of tf2, i nearly cried, i mean, this is the greatest charity event ever conceived by a gaming community, wingspantt, you're heart is the biggest one i ever known, and so are the other 12 guys who're going to destroy their wrenches. The destruction of virtual objects to do a real change is something so awesome. I wish you the best of luck, and, LETS RAIN HELL ON THOSE WRENCHES!!!!!!

@DannyEastes Because he is doing a charity drive... The wrench is an incentive to donate to their cause. Have you ever heard of TheSpeedGamers? They hold Video Game Marathons to get donations for various charities. Does everyone care? Of course not, but they get people interested in the charity, and looking into it and people then decide to do it, not because of the free entertainment, a destroyed item and such... But because it is the right thing to in the end. The other stuff is just a bonus.

Question: Does this Childs Play charity just go to giving sick children video games? Or just all around donating money to hospitals and on the offside also giving hospitalized children entertainmet? I'm a big gamer but I think sending them books are more productive and healthy, there's nothing like a good book! Of course, I guess children might disagree with me lol!

As for scams, I think it's pretty well established by now that the money goes directly to Child's Play's Paypal account.

Ah I know. If you donate and get more people to delete their golden wrenches Valve might wake up and realize what a true burden they are and bring them back now for good but just make them hard to get as before. So if you don't want to donate for the dying children donate for that possibility.

I WOULD SOOOOOO donate cuz ive always tried to help pther people and ive sadly have fallen victim to hackers and I KNEW from the start golden wrenches would be a bad idea. Ive even heard storys of people who have them get permenly banned from severs is that true?. BUT the problem is...im in the UK >_<

It is really boring in hospitals. REALLY REALLY BORING. Trust me. I had some really wierd illnesses, and hospital was, unfortunately, like a second home. You're jabbed with needles, made to lie in bed all day, are normally in a lot of pain, and then all they give you is movies, and you watch all the good ones within the firast half of your stay. I'm sure I would be insane (well, more insane) without something like the games I had supplied to me at hostpital
