  • this is bored for me!! maybe cause i dance in other way!!

  • Salsa means clave, feel the music and enjoy it. We grew up hearing Salsa music, so even if we don not dance ( and beleive me many people in PR do not dance Salsa) we can follow the clave. So Salsa means fun and enjoyment of life... Saludos de un Boricua en Corea!!!

  • Your hostile text comment postings disappoint me, Kirikou1540. It reflects poorly not only on you, but on the entire salsa industry as a whole. Perhaps we can discuss this over a drink at the next NYSC social!

  • You know, maybe I was a little harsh on you DrMJackson203. Truce? What do you think everyone? You with me?

  • Yea, life is too short

  • Perhaps you should do some of your own research DrMJackson203 (which I doubt is even your real name!) Bitch

  • You know, DrMJackson203, given our mutual love for the clave I thought we would be able to be friends. But your frankness in your previous post suggests otherwise. I do not appreciate your labeling of my findings ostentatious, especially considering my uncertainty and desire for confirmation. I realize that Im not an experienced slasa historian and was simply bringing to everyones attention some unsettling information.

  • I'm going to have to be frank with you, Kirikou1540, and say that ab initio I have found your unsubstantiated logic to be circular and your claim ostentatious. Thus far you have not presented Mr. Polanco's followers with a scintilla of evidence to authenticate your alleged statement and therefore, pending further investigation, have not met the burden of proof in this case.

  • Well, I can't say that it's confirmation, but after emailing Don Juan Carlos Jose Enrique Esteban Marc Tequilas at his hotmail account, he backs up my findings.

  • Sir, I am patiently awaiting this alleged confirmation of your wildly unethical and inherently contradictory claim.

  • Digging through the salsa archives, I have uncovered some unsettling documents that cast doubt upon Felipe Polanco's good name. It seems that this crafty Latin American is in fact NOT the creator of the world-renowned, groundbreaking "pahpahaphaphahah" method. Some primary salsa sources suggest that it is none other than Don Juan Carlos Jose Enrice Rodriquez Tequilas who deserves the credit. But before you go and do anything drastic, wait until I have received some confirmation.

  • Owanderhoffe, during my career as a dancer I have worked with such infamous pioneers of the field as Don Juan Carlos Rodriguez. Therefore, I believe I possess the experience to argue that Felipe Polanco's groundbreaking technique is far superior to that of any other specialist.

  • Kirikou1540, I did not mean to question your credibility, and thus RESENT your resentment toward what was a mere hypothetical remark. Furthermore, if you choose to wear pink windpants to meet a star of this magnitude, there is perhaps no need to question your credibility, as this choice alone casts doubt on your judgment per se.

  • DrMJackson203, while your knowledge of the clave is unquestionable, I RESENT your claim that I was not personally present at his workshop. If you look closely, I was the man in the back with bad hair and pink windpants. I don't appreciate you casting doubt on the veracity of my Youtube text comment postings. I have a reputation to uphold.

  • Oweanderhoffe, while I agree that Mr. Polanco does tend to be a bit of a boaster, it blows my mind that you would even put Julio Montero in the same league as Felipe. The Norwegian schools just simply aren't what they used to be. Damn shame too, I learned so much there in the 60s.

  • DrMJackson203, 8 years ago I too was interested in a private workshop with Felipe. After sending an email to his Hotmail account, we were able to set one up; I have never been the same since. The footwork was far too fancy for a one-on-one session. I was quickly overwhelmed by the beat of the clave and Mr. Polanco's lightning fast flailing thighs.

  • I also never think about it, I just feel it. That is, I always go by the clave or the pahpahpah-pah-pah-pah method. Please, who uses the count anymore?

  • Wow, does anyone know if Mr. Polanco can be hired for a private workshop?

  • Felipe was always far too pompous for me to learn anything from him. He ALWAYS brings up that "oh i don't use the count" line and then rubs it in that we need his help. I don't understand why it's necessary to be so condescending. If you're taking lessons from Felipe and want to find a teacher who you will actually learn from, check out Julio Montero. He may not have been trained in Norway, but he's quite a beast.

  • Kirikou1540, you seem to be fairly proficient in the current trends of salsa instruction. However, I have doubts regarding the truthfulness of your claim of having personally attended this workshop. I attended one of Mr. Polanco's workshops in Miami and was impressed with his simple and elegant approach, as well as his unequivocal star appeal.

  • The "papappapapahapahpahaphhahpapaahpapappppaphahhahaahhahhahhahah" method is an invaluable gift by Felipe to salsa instructors all across the globe.

  • I was personally present at this workshop. I have never learned such fancy moves in such a short period of time.

  • Felipe Polanco really shouldn't wear ugly black windpants. Who's with me ?

  • Could someone write the Spanish Department at B University? I think he really deserves a VIP visit!

  • The wearing of windpants by Felip contrasts with his celebrity. Dont you all agree? Im sending him a suit/ if anyone wants to chip in!But then again, I don't know if he could execute such fancy footwork with a more restrictive pant design

  • Its mindblowing how Mr Polanco combines such a classy style with the innovative "pahpahpahhha" method.

  • awesome

  • great!

  • I like the blend between a classy style and sabor del barrio :) and is not that intrincate.. much easier than street dancing xD

  • Felipe Polanco Class!!!! like Papito Jala Jala

  • Felipe style is just like the old days. Very classy and intricate. Awesome!

  • FELIPE POLANCO RULES!!!
