The left wing is only in favor of big government with regards to economics. On economics, I am largely undecided, fluctuating across the spectrum, flirting with Keynesian, Chomskyan, Randian, and often even Rothbardian theories.
Indeed, when you look at where I am on the political compass, what stands out is not my leftism, but my hardcore social libertarianism.
Also, if you're going to point out instances of censorship supported by the left, such as the actions of communist governments or the current support for the Fairness Doctrine, "campaign finance reform" (which effectively limits political speech), and Hate Speech laws by "progressives," don't bother. I already oppose such censorious laws.
I like your normal voice when you're not pretending to be Christopher Hitchens (just 'cause, y'know, he's freakin' Christopher Hitchens! No one can be him!)
Also: Interesting video. I'm gonna have to use those links, though. You were bouncing all over the place.
Yes, I know nobody else can be Hitchens. But I've never attempted to do so. Weird accent changes are just how I speak, although the fact that he's the main guy I listen to on this subject means I was imitating him to an extent.
So you agree the government is involved in your life too much?
...
Seems hypocritical for an uber-leftwinger

For instance, from a test I took:
My Political Views
I am a centrist social libertarian
Left: 0.56, Libertarian: 7.58

Exactly man.
I don't want to be told how to talk, or how to live my life, fuck that shit.

We should never be punished for crossing the line. It was made for those who can't think for themselves. Fuck that shit!

Edit: Yeah, listening to it again I was totally ripping off Hitchens's free speech lecture.
XD
Please do check out the links. It's hard to be coherent when you're spontaneously recording liberal commentary around 3-5 am.
