And the Skatalites on this video are not the greatest. I saw them on 2006, two times on 2009, and on 2010. The new formation, from 2010 to this times, is no god. The new guitarrist and keyboardist has no feeling, and they're not so bright (previous keyboardist, actuall manager, is a jewell!). And there're new trombonist and saxophonist...but Vin Gordon and Karl Bryan where just MAGIC. No idea why they left.

Ehm, I'm sorry guys, with Rico is really REALLY old. He can't play anymore. I saw him alive on 2010, and his solos are boring, 'cause he can't play all along, and he can't even move :S

Also, this video is from 9 years ago, and Rico wasn't in his 70's, so there's no excuse. I'm worried, tell you.

Rico is no doubt getting old, and technically his performance is not very good. Still this performance in total brings tears to my eyes, at the same time wants me jump up and down like only the japaneese know how. What a crowd, and what an amacing group of musicians!! :)

Rico is great. I really love his music, but his solo was very poor. So are todays Skatalites. I saw them twice in the early nineties with Tommy McCook and Roland Alphonso and it was great to see the originators, but today (2009) they are cabaret.
