the 556 is the 223 round only difference is the the gas preasures.i know im a marine.its an awsome round.the 556 acttually explodes just like a varmint round.the green tipped bullet the nato round is acttually a steelt cone just like a vmax bullet.

We kill 400lb hogs with 22Lr head shots with in 15 feet... My point was being the 223 does not have much stopping power that is why the military has went to the 5.56 mm...

@238Truth You are right, I wont push it past 400. Yes, Ive shot way further and scored, on a racoon, but he drug himself off. No reason to wound them, if I dont think I'll hit perfect, I won't pull the trigger. Shane had a great shot on that hog, downhill is hard, he only missed cause of that and a bit of wind. Well he hit, didnt miss, but it was all fat, gave that hog a bad headache he did!

I'm not sure where you're from but you some nice pigs. Why didn't you drop the second 3? To relate to your video. sometime ago I went pig shooting here in Queensland (Australia). My mate and I had a shit 3 days and only got one adult and one piglet. The owner asked us to drop some of the 1000's of roos he had on the property. Between us we dropped about 30 roos. We have to leave the carcasses there and left the property the next day. Went back a week later - bingo, 30 pigs in 2 days.

The past hog i shot was my bigest hog. it was a real dark red and black boar over 200. idk why but it came out with a sow with football siezed piglets. i shot the boar. later that day i was in the same stand and she came back out witha smaller boar. i shot it to. after a couple of min she came back out and was almost blowing like a deer at and and stomping at it. There was a nouther infront of me doing the same thing in the woods. I hog hunt in South Carolina

Try it at the range. Some sabot slugs are accurate to 100yds. I always try a weapon before I hunt with it. Thats something for you to decide.
