@StephenG7 Some recent evidence have come to light that Kawashima may have not been executed in 1948. Several recent documentary from China and Japan have brought those evidence to light.
Come on, man. Before we condemn others, what have we Hans done? You know what people call us? Autistic worms. There was a japanese who said that chinese alone is a dragon, as a bunch, chinese are worms. We bully each other, and are bystanders when other people bully us. Aisin Gioro Xianyu (愛新覺羅•顯玗) became like this because we chinese were useless to start with. Even now, do we stand together?
Even now chinese people isn't much different ... They can make fake milk and other stuff for milk without considering the safety for others... I know there may be same in other countries but china have alot of these people...
Yoshiko Kawashima was a victim of some Japanese idiot military leaders in 1930's and 40's, it is disgrace and misfortune that Japanese military leaders were very ignorant
Yoshiko Kawashima was actually a daughter of one of China's royal family. She was sent to Japan and lived under Japanese family at age 7. It was her and her family's decision to be a spy under the Japanese military. The reason why was because if the Japanese military succeeded in taking over China, they would be given the right to make Manchu or something like that and rule that area. Except it went under the Japanese government's rule once it was made.
Yep. Both of them lived in the crack between Japan and China. Sometimes I think if Kawashima had managed to escape to Japan, like Li Xianglan (Shirley Yamaguchi), what would her fate be? Shirley's life was quite colorful after she escaped to Japan.
Few people know she saved many Chinese people's life, for which the Japanese military didn't believe her any more. And, few people know that she didn't escape when the Japanese got defeated on 1945, since she didn't consider herself as guilty to China, which was the main reason why she got arrested so easily.
Here, I also want to say to my fellows: before you hate somebody, understand him/her first. Before you blame Kawashima Yoshiko, check the relative historical material first. There have been too many innocent people misunderstood by the public in our modern history.
think Kawshima is related to Aisin Gioro - China's last emperor's family.

梅艳芳长那傻逼德行,也配演金碧辉,操!

請查看金碧輝的樣貌,梅艷芳比金碧輝本人還好看些。少罵髒話,積點口德。多學點歷史。

nice song anybody there who knows the title?

As a Yoshiko Kawashima, Michelle Yeoh
, who is the best actress in HK ,is the
fittest,
Anita is not good.
Michelle is more beautiful, and she proves
her ability in 007 film in 1990's
EBICHAN5 3 years ago
The thing is Yoshiko Kawashima was not pretty, and Michelle Yeoh's acting is mediocre.

@orlandokim1
That's not Michelle Yeoh. That's Anita Mui, if you are writing about the actress that plays Kawashima.

Taiwanese are farmers fighting in parliament. You want a video of that? They are all over U-tube anyway. Now, that is a chinese disgrace.

Yoshiko Kawashima was a victim of some Japanese idiot military leaders in 1930's and 40's, it is disgrace and misfortune that Japanese military leaders were very ignorant
during the war. It is the fact that Japanese
military men made the warcrime in China.
We should give the sincere tributes to many
chinese people. This movie is good, but
Actress Anita is not resemble to Kawashima,
Real Yoshiko Kawashima was more beautiful
and cool,,

She said to Li Xianglan to call her "brother".
After the war, their life went 180 degree different way.

Great trailer. Does anyone know if the movie was ever translated into any of the European languages, or perhaps at least subtitled?

Thank you so much. I love the song, and, Kawashima Yoshiko herself very much.
She was a miserable and colorful person in both Chinese and Japanese history, though all her life she tried to find out which nation she belonged to.
