Nice footage of West Kennet Barrow interior - brilliantly restored by Stuart Piggott in the 1950's. More's the pity the same couldn't have been doen for Avebury Stone Circle of which 50% is still missing or buried under ground. East Kennet Long Barrow might never be explored by archaeology, it may always retain its secrets ;)
I was brought-up in Mmarlborough and the beautiful surrounig countryside so I know the area well. Next time you should get the train into Great Bedwyn, it's cheaper, quicker and a beautiful English village. Also you should visit 'The Barge Inn' at Honey Street near Alton Barnes.
Wonderful job capturing the beautiful English countryside. I was in Avebury years ago and had the greatest time there. Watching your video brought back lots of fond memories. I can't wait to revisit England and Wiltshire again.
Thanks for a very good video, the area is,as you say, wierd, but in a special way,all these sacred sites in a fairly small area yet not widely known.I visit the area a couple of times a year, was there last week visiting the crop circles too, funny how they appear in this area alongside the ancient sites
Ah you're too modest with your 'I'm just a point and shoot merchant'. You obviously have a natural feel for what makes a good shot and how to edit everything with the right length, create a story, add a bit of music for the right atmosphere etc. and set up some shots with you in too! It's great round there. I look forward to your next video.
A brilliant video! i have been to Avebury and its environs dozens of times, but have never visited Swallowhead spring or even heard of the controversial "Silbaby", so many thanks for posting this, i think i will be doing a bit of research before my next visit, which will include both of these sites. You must have walked miles! and the music by Clannad is well chosen, just up my street! as for your "point and shoot" style, you have done this wonderful area justice, this is a 5/5 and favourite!!

Thanks for the excellent video. My family used to holiday in Berkshire. Played on the Uffington white horse, and walked the Ridge Way.
So thanks. I hope you are keeping well over there down by the Thames. x

Funnily enough, The Uffington White Horse and Wayland's Smithy is my next port of call!
Thanks for the kind words, Mark.

Aww thank you! And Yes... next time, night time. Although given there are no street lights, it wouldn't be worth filming anything!
