  • how did you start with squats,is ti a good idea to do no weight squats or bulgarians first?

  • beast legs, where is this gym?

  • @timmulholland hove

  • Nice work, but I wouldnt put plates under your heels, it is not stable enough at least not with near maximum weights - either get lifting shoes and squat highbar or squat lowbar and maybe reset your bar position a little (search for "Rippetoe Bar Position" on vimeo for advice)

    Depth is also ok for a rather low bar backsquat, but as already said push those knees out(maybe do some x-band walks/clam shells during your warmup)

  • Good work man!

  • your sexi ass

  • wow, go pro squats!! your back angle is like it would be on a low bar squat, not sure where the bar is on you. try putting 1.25kg plates under your heels (its the equivalent of weightlifting shoes) and dont be worried about letting your knees come forwards over your feet a bit. your back angle should be fine if you do that. other than that.. thats fucking strong man :D

  • @bobbyatopk cheers bobby.

  • Nice!! Back squats are good!}

  • I wrote another long paragraph about stuff, but I think the easiest way to put my advice, is to practice extreme Joshing. Just chill in the Josh position for a while and bounce, just like he said in his 3Run tutorial; but from there just push straight up, keeping your chest up with a neutral back. Eventually the Joshing will be ingrained in you and it'll kinda teach you how to squat with the best form I think.

  • You have exactly the same problem as me. You need to keep your chest up more, as the load tends to go to your back instead of your legs. Experiment with different feet positioning, I find a bit wider than you are right now easier. As mentionned earlier, push those knees out and think about keeping the weight on your heels.

  • @FredSk8PrO Thanks.

  • FAKE! There is a greenscreen..

  • GoPro Squats looked sick, haha

  • Try and drop your butt more towards the floor so you can keep your chest up and back in a more neutral position. And widening the angle of your knees will definitely help.

  • Learning and doing Box Squats for a while really cleaned up my form. There's a really good video where Dave Tate from EliteFTS teaches a kid to do them. Your back seems pretty tight and looks good. Is the bar positioning low? You look like you are dropping your chest quite a bit. Also one thing that helps hugely is thinking about pushing your knees out as far as possible, this helps to get depth easier. When you push, imagine you're trying to rip the floor apart.

  • @jackaltraceur Thanks a lot, Tom.

  • do you not get knee pain?
