Not a bad effort, I don't think the BBC will be naging on your door to play the next Doctor but it was better than the vast majority of fan video acting. It also serves as quite an interesting demonstration of how you would never have such dialogue-heavy scenes like that in the new series today. The audience would get bored too quickly.
I had no idea what kind of hateful crap DS people were posting. I'm reminded of the online reaction to Daleks in Manhattan, which upset Helen Raynor to the point of wanting to quit. Once this was mentioned in the Writer's tale, both DS and DWF had huge apology threads, and stupidly I believed they were sincere. Obviously not. Anyone who uses the internet to say nasty things to people who put their heart into a project is just spineless. Anyone who does it again is beyond that.
I have always welcomed comments of both positive and negative criticism on my videos. I also only ever delete comments that are spam or are solely a personal attack. However, unfortunately, some members of the digitalspy forum (I'm not a member) have decided to express their dislike of my videos by posting hurtful non-constructive comments and other attacks. Therefore, I'm suspending comments, voting, and responses.
I enjoy sharing videos and ideas with other filmmakers, fan filmmakers, and Doctor Who fans in general. I like hearing peoples opinions either way and appreciate that most of them are encouraging. Yet I see no point in their motivation except to cause hurt to a fellow human being they don't know & have never met. This is just an explanation and I adamantly desire that no one return any hateful or hurtful remarks to these people on YouTube, digitalspy, or anywhere.
its so very cool but i cant really understand your voice and as the doctor you don't really have the, well.. "passion" the doctor sounds like when he talks
We've filmed a scene from "The Hand of Fear" with Heather Stowe playing Sarah Jane Smith. It hasn't been released on You Tube yet because it still requires some post production work, but shots from it can be scene in the video "Dark Glasses Productions Demo Reel Part 1"
I must admit, the original of this had for reproach having the Cyber-leader being too emotional. You certainly putted back its correct tone.
Must be a pain filming without moving too much to keep all those guys and non existing setting around! Somehow I felt that you'd rather had moved and acted the Doctor a wee bit more energic than that.
very well done, you sounded very paul mcgann to me. All that lovely lighting and chromakey n stuff I wish we had been able to do clever things like that when I made dr who films in the 80's.
Not bad...but ended at the best bit! I felt it lacked a little in the personality department. Maybe that was the thing. Old Who lacked the flashy FX but it had loads of colorful personality, esp from Tom! But well done, all the same! 4 stars from me!
Exactly what the Doctor would sound like if he's just smoked several pounds of bad skunk. This is plodding and devoid of energy.

ZOMG! Why have the BBC not hired u ppl yet!? :X

Most impressive! It looks very much like the way that scene would be shot today.
Just one small detail: The Doctor said "skulking" (wandering), not "sulking" (crying), as Cybermen have no emotions.

Darn, you beat me to the error! Oh well... Some words of advice:
Work on the voice for your Cybermen.

That hydraulic speech sounded a bit Gilbert and Sullivan to me!

Amazing. What was originally the Doctor hurling abuse at a bunch of morons with guns, instead, it's an intense battle of nerves.
And emotionless Cybermen too. Cool.

Woe! excellent work there. God knows how you acheived that sort of quality. I imagine there was a lot of chromakeying involved though. Nice one! :)
