  • just trying to learn this dance at class this video will be bery useful . I love this dance

  • Go raibh míle maith agat.

  • Maith sibh! I'm adding this to my good sets playlist!

  • I am from baile bhuirne and this set is well done!

  • Thank you. Not being an Irish descendent that means a lot to me.

  • Good show. I will use it a teaching video.

  • This is great, as is. With due respect to the clarebannerman, I think battering is a bit overdone.

  • i beg to differ! battering makes it more interesting to watch rather than 1,2,3's the whole time but yes can be over done with batters but not really!!!

  • Each set should be danced in its own traditional style. There are sets which should be battered and others which should not. And if battered, it should be done properly: battering not banging, the right style to the right set etc. Or, does it make any sense to dance lets say Connemara set doing clare style battering?

  • well it depends on the situation in say competition when people are watching what youre doing or when your doing a presentation then ya but set ancing is fun when im at a ceili i just do whaever batters flows into my feet not what one goes with the set and personally i find doing the connemara step is qute boring its good for sean nos but i wouldnt do it at say a ceili cuz ur having too much fun at ceilis to be worrying about if your doing it rigt or not

  • More battering and you're fully there!

  • As you can see this video is from 2004 :-)

    Lots of more battering nowadays.

  • Very nice :-)
