Wasn't there another 1 to 20 segment from "Fem Myror" that Sesame Street used before? It would have the number 8 squash the 7, but the 7 in 17 would get out of the way when the 8 came down for 18. The 19 would swirl and reveal a red 20 at the end. Anyone have that or know where I can fid it?
The original Swedish audio can be found in a posting titled "Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter 1-20". I kind of like the arrangement of the song better in the original, and the tuskless elephant's voice makes me crack up =)
They have stolen the background music. It's from the Swedish children's programme "Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter" = "Five ants are more than four elephants".
I always thought of this as a girl elephant, probably from the voice, and wondered at the hat. The "stuck 14" is just silly. Never knew this originated in Sweden, nice touch.
I never knew these were Swedish. Though that explains why the lip synch was off. I don't particularly care for the elephant in this one. Looks kinda weird to me.
The pink elephant in this clip was apparently a "number-teaching mascot" (similar to the Count) on the Swedish program where it originally appeared: his voice also announced the number at the end of those other animated clips.
Back when TV4 in Sweden had clips from the show this originally aired on, I saw the Swedish version (which had the counting set to music). This adaptation isn't half bad though...

In the Swedish original the elaphant is singing the numbers with a really silly voice.

Also, at the end. She'd say "Tak" instead of "bye". "Tak" is Swedish for thanks. My fiancée speaks Swedish and I'm learning from her.

Not only the music, the elephant is Swedish as well.

True, five ants are more than four elephants in quantity. But in basic volume, the elephants are a bit more :-)

Like how the elephant says "Bye!" at the end.

Yeah, the elephant saying "14" in an annoyed manner simply sounded like Maria when she is annoyed (since Sonia Manzano did the voice)
