  • AWESOME......Rik Witter is a legend!!

  • Anyone know if this video was shot in Fibbers in York (pre-refurbishment) ? And anyone going to see them at the Barbican on 21st December? I am - whoop whoop!

  • Seen them three times in the 90s and then a week ago in Bournemouth....class!!!

  • I'm grateful I've found this band. Totally amazing for a 90's disco sound

  • sum knobhead had to spoil the 0 dislikes

  • @bigbud702002 yeah,it was probably the Knobhead wearing the red shirt hassling the band in the vid @ 1:22

  • 0 dislikes? this is possibly the first video i have seen like this xD

  • WTF WHERE HAVE I BEEN4GOT BOUT THESE IN MY LIBRARY!

  • most underrated band ever. they should have all the fame oasis, stones etc have.

  • Can't wait to see these in York, with the Likely Lads as well. Mega line up

  • My mates dad manages them

  • @sealey44 how much to get them to play a 'just back from afghan' party for us lads, no shit

  • Reminds me of Images nightclub in Worcester, UK years ago. Worst place ever.

  • @Easyandy100

Though it always had a bit of atmosphere, unlike Tramps, can't beat watching a few pikeys fighting on the sticky dancefloor :)

  • @zorbario Never did Tramps as it had a dress code that I never met. Images got voted worst club in the UK for several years running in FHM (I think).

  • always loved this song.rick witter and richard ashcroft=identical twins.

  • @sheamus316 ha.ha i like it... going to see them on 16th dec. quality stood out in the 90's amongst loads of other top bands.....

  • @sheamus316 Maybe a young rob gretton too?

  • I'm a Manc but don't think it's fair to compare these boys to our knuckle scraping cousins from Burbage.

Shed Seven are much more on par with The Charlatans and their aint much between them.

Both highly intellectual bands producing quality tunes, but The Sheds edge it geographically as York is Englands best kept secret.

  • @TheVimtoMoustache

    You're a mong.

  • the best song to come out of britpop just great????

  • This is a far better album than the two knobs from manc have ever done..class Shed 7

  • @spiritofradio excellantly put :)

  • yeah just got mine can't wait :)

  • 158 People know great music when they hear it :-)

  • class song !!! cant wait to go see the boys once again in december I WILL NEVER TIRE OF SHED SEVEN !!

  • this looks like it was filmed in toff's (a nightclub in york) anyone confirm this?

  • Can't wait to catch them all over again on the winter tour - got my tickets y'day and have had this song stuck on repeat for the past three days - I'll never get tired of it!

  • When I grow up I wanna be Rick Witter.

  • Just fuckin amazin

  • good band did u know oasis supported these 1993?

  • Tune !! Vid brought a smile to my face especially when Ric cant stay on his own 2 feet at the end!

  • it reply to all the people arguing if the lead singer is a prick...

a friend of mine was in a pub in liverpool a few years ago and he was in there, creating a disturbance because there was no shed seven in the juke box,

"dont you know who i am??" he was saying!!!

in the end people were getting so sick of him staff went up to him and said "nobody gives a fuck who you are. your music is shit. now fuck off!!!" and turfed him out to cheering punters!!!

  • @DiElBramz ok. the cheering punters bit is made up but thats how i imagined it to be!! (:

  • @DiElBramz thats not true -- ha your talking ballo

  • @DiElBramz In his defence he had a point, why wasn't there any Shed on the fucking jukebox? Seriously even if Rickster is a bit dotty in his spare time is he any different from any other lead singers out there? Look at the vid above, could any other members front the band? Nah. He's just following a great tradition of androgenous nutcase frontmen like Tim Burgess, Ian Brown, Perry Farrell ....the list is endless

  • which track had a video filmed round york ,it featured the phone boxes in huntington and the old chinese takeaway van that used to knock about round there , i occasionally see ric shopping in sainsburys :D

  • absolutely great band up ther wi oasis like great tune good live 2!!!!!!!!!!

  • GEM of a tuuuuune!!!

  • I got a high from just watching this ~ and I hate Discos even!

  • absolute fuckin classic!!!

  • yet another hit

born with a beard dot com

  • Brilliant tune

  • went to see them in shrewbury music hall years ago it was ace

  • Love the Sheds. Never got the love they deserved. that's not always a bad thing! Bring back the 90's

  • Wasn't this song just a filler for their greatest hits album?

Best bit of stuffing ever in my worthless opinion.

  • cool.. but are you about money? i see advertising.. dont sell out!

  • lead singer goes drinking in my local the lowther in York and he acts like such a prick i cant belive it shame really..

  • @ruddiger121 That is a shame like...top tune tho!!

  • @ruddiger121 for some reason i dont beleive i think your bullshittin

  • @ruddiger121 Please elaborate...

  • Comment removed

  • @ruddiger121 This is not true at all. I have been to many gigs and every time been backstage. He is not a prick at all.

  • brilliant song reminds me of good times

  • I love these guys. So down to earth and normal. Saw them in Aberdeen Music Hall and at Hull University years ago and they were BRILLIANT!!!

  • and the memories will flood and keep us together

  • i saw the sheds in a bar in York called fibbers just before they made it big top band inspired the likes of oasis and most other indy bands of the time ..Video is just pure class just as the song says ,,,nice posting cheers

  • The best anti clubing song ever.Every crap night out in every shitty bar I've ever been to.Thanks for posting.

  • Love the Sheds.

  • sounds alot like the bluetones

  • This Tune reminds me of dancing the night away in 5th ave and 42's in Manchester, some tunes never go out of style and this is a prime example!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Seen them live years ago at Middlesbrough Town Hall, Class act played the crowd like a good un, asked you what you wanted... One of the best live acts I've seen and I've seen a lot ...

  • original indie! youngsters role up and educate your ears!

  • This feels like a farewell song.Maybe the boys should have called it quits and used this as their swansong?

  • overlooked band their hits cd is well worth the money

  • It's cool.

  • Thats why Shed Seven rocked so much! how many other britpop bands would you get doing a full dance routine in a video? Pure class!

  • ooo class! Reminds me of the days of driving up Trench lane in my red nissan micra.Long live Jackie Bramble!

  • Best Indie Band Ever........!!!!!!!!

  • Being in my mid forties, I've never really been into indie stuff but I saw them live on Top of the Pops in the late nineties and thought they were fantastic.

  • i'm not a fan but i recognize they are good..

  • wow. this is kinda gay. sorry to those who like it. i'm not a hater.

  • You can't get thicker than a shit Rick Witter

  • reply if u like alan leach becoz by best friend is Jeanie Leach and she Is his daughter and her uncle is the singer :)

  • Went to see these in Birmz what a boss band ;] x

  • It's a great song - like the line-dancing towards the end. :-D

  • Great tune! Sadly, it is still like this in terms of atmosphere even these days in your typical U.K club...if you don't look like your average laddish twat in rubbish cheap branded clothes and you stroll in wearing something expensive and well cut as a Mod or indie kid then you're night will be made hell by retards...

  • Seeing them Tommorow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me tooo!

  • I saw them at the Forum on Saturday........They were the nuts!

  • i really want the tab for this bassline, anyone? and the ones on the net are wrong

  • got tickets for the 22nd in leeds gonna be totally quality

  • Well, whether it's filmed in Toff's or not, this video captures absolutely perfectly the atmosphere of the post-pub scene in York. Takes me back 20 years in the most uncanny way imaginable.

  • One of the best bands live,no doubt.Seen them 20+ times, can't wait to see them again in 2 months!

  • Seen them in Manchester a few times, and even went back stage for a few pints in the after show party: Great Lads! It was at one of the times they split? Just can't keep away can they?
