OR it was a prank with somone playing with the 1MC( that is a PA system for you non navy folk) But in any case if it was real, these midshipmen are disciplined to kee doing what they need to do no matter what. You just complete the mission. In this case the mission was marching in for noon formation. Does not suprise me at all that no on reacted. When I was there in '83 we would have just kept on marching.
