  • I wish I can know the lady's name. her voice is magical.. Do you have any informatino on who she is?

  • @MsCasati information*

  • Hamza El Din also sings this song while playing the Oud. You can search for that piece on the tube. It is called "Mwasha". He claims that this piece is an old Nubian folk song.

  • @MsCasati I am not sure... but it sounds like Fayrouz

  • @nikkipolya Fayrouz sang it but its not originally hers.

  • @MsCasati Lena Shamamyan

  • @MysticalVentus I don't think that's Lena. The accent is obviously Egyptian..

  • @MsCasati the chants aren't in egyptian arabic, it is formal arabic. and yes she could be Lena

  • @maninthehood umm I know the chants are in formal arabic.. still there is an Egyptian accent : Yatasana = yataThana, Algamal = Aljamal.. ?!

    Lena pronounces it differently.

  • @MsCasati probably you are right, the g/j sound here wasn't clear for me

  • @MsCasati probably you are right, the g/j sound wasn't at first clear to me

  • @MsCasati Lena Chamamyan

  • @MsCasati

    Lena Chamamyan

    and she is from syria

  • i love it but you should correct it.. it's an andalusian song not egyptian!

  • @MsCasati Andalusian music yes, but I don't have to correct anything, as it is the name of the album :)

  • @haddara the name of the band is ''lamma bada yatathana'' . It is covered by many artists because it is a famous master piece. Also, I want to point out it was covered by different genre. So it is interesting to see how the same notes composed in different genre.

  • @belardo80 sorry. I should say the name of the SONG not band.:) excuse me

  • Beautiful :D

  • Very very very good :)

  • @SirFrancisBurton Glad you like!

  • يتسني = يتبع السنة = يطلق لحيته

  • @khogaahmed Yeah it is just slang Arabic I guess, they don't pronounce the "Th" right in common Egyptian accent, at least most of people do. But I agree that they should've.

  • @haddara no ya m3allem i think "yatasanna" doesn't need a "th" even in the pure arabic :)

btw el mix da gamil gedddan, thank you :)

  • @haha3429 No idea :)

    Glad you like :)

  • @giannuzzo66 Glad that you like :)

  • Amazing, I like it sooooooooooo much.. How can you find such a music? It's really incredible !

  • @amaniator Well I can send you the 2 albums, or upload them for you somewhere and you download them, or buy the CDs, you should find them at Virgin Egypt, as I bought them from a Virgin store in Europe

  • @haddara Ok, but I don't know the album's name?

  • @amaniator The Arabic song is called "Lamma Bada Yatathenna" it's a very famous andalusian song from the Arabic era in Al Andalus. What very few people know is that Western music has been very much influenced by music from Al Andalus. European middle age music sounds very much like arabic music.
