@lindsaymobil22 because there's no reason to. apps i use on mac os x require a resolution of 1024 x 768 anyway, so half the shit i use a mac for would be useless without a monitor. might as well just put linux on there.
In Windows XP you could create an account of any type on a local machine as far as I know without a password, at least I never set up a password on either of my Windows XP machines, but every time I see someone starting a computer with Windows Vista or 7 they always have to type in a password. Is it now forced upon you to create and use a password on accounts on newer versions of Windows?
@Lachlant1984 if you don't have a password, that's a backdoor into your machine. that's why i use a password, lol. you can choose not to, but i like security.
@Knaeckebrotsaege lol, you're not understanding the point he or i was making at all. some manufacturers don't provide the drivers for every OS that's compatable with the device. when went to download the drivers for this netbook, you should see the amount of OS's they support. it's insane.
Just clean the damn screen. Don't know why some ppl say HP's are bad. My mothers bf owns one as well as my grandma. They have not had ne problems with the computers. I just build my own PC's. That is the best way to do it.That way when something goes wrong you know what is fucked up and can fix it much easier.
@lmull3 so do you use the classic look on your pc? I got that xp looking glossy crap... for Win 7.... use to it now But I got made fun of for using classic and everyone forced me to use the vista FISHER PRICE look
Why dont you hackintosh this? The hardware sounds pretty good for a nice Snow Leopard setup...

@PearlJammer07 notice the glare of the light above as well? bring that netbook outside. lots of fun, lol.
lmull3 5 months ago
@lmull3 whoever invented glare/glossy screens or made them popular deserves to be shot imho >.<
i usually spend more time cleaning the damn thing than actually using it (ie: looking at myself instead of what's on the screen)
the glossy screen is pretty much the only thing i hate about my eeePC :(
(and to a lesser extent the fact that it doesn't have the chiclet keyboard)
Knaeckebrotsaege 5 months ago
@Knaeckebrotsaege i share your opinion on glossy screens completely. some are done better then others, but, still, me no likey so much.

FreightExpress1993 5 months ago
@FreightExpress1993 yeah, some of the original eee pc's used 70mm card type SSD's.
lmull3 5 months ago
@lmull3 I noticed that when I was fixing one
FreightExpress1993 5 months ago
@FreightExpress1993 it's a cool idea i think, but those little cards are really expensive if you wanna upgrade, which kinda sucks :/
