Both singers have great voices but you have to remember that Charice is just starting while Whitney's already been recognized and is commonly referred to as "The Voice" because of her exceptional vocal talent. Filipinos have this habit of comparing people. And before any of the Filipinos get mad at me, I'm a Filipino myself. You cannot just compare Charice to Whitney Houston. Both singers have great voices but you have to remember that Charice is just starting while Whitney's already been recognized and is commonly referred to as "The Voice" because of her exceptional vocal talent. Charice lacks brilliance in her sound but I won't deny she IS powerhouse.

Went to your uploads--"I Have Nothing." You placed a mugshot of Charice and a nice picture of Whitney next to each other. That kinda gave me a hint that you were gonna cheat...and sure enuff you did. this comparison is rubbish. whitney has catapulted herself as one of music's untouchables. charice has the potential, yes, but she still has a lot to prove. her voice is a great vessel to succeed but it's too early to tell. what she has is just the voice.

If you're gonna send a message to anyone, you need to learn to how to be coherent. However, due to my superior deciphering capabilities, I was able to conclude that you think Charice screams. Even if she does, then that makes her even more talented in that she's able to scream melodically. A lot of other vocalists can only dream they could "scream" like Charice, but instead, the cops are usually on their way.

Whitney Singing is Original. She takes the songs written for her and turns them into her own interpretation on stage, switching the arrangement around, Charice hasn't got a musical ear like Whitney, Aswell as a better Voice

Here is my message to Charice fans:
Yes she has a great voice, but she is not as good or Whitney Houston, otherwise.... she would be internationally famous as Whitney Houston was and still is as one of the best singers.
Being a good singer takes a lot more than high notes, and quite frankly I think Charice is like a screaming turtle. But thats just my opinion. You could also ask the billions of other people in the world who also would rather listen to Whitneys voice.

i don't have to be a chef to know if a certain dish is ok, good, great, or if it's the best. copycat? every artist starts out as a copycat. everybody seems to know that except you. charice's version of O.M.I.T. simply has more ooomph. it's more climactic, more inspiring, & more captivating. my heart goes out to whitney, but a lot of my money will be going to charice as i will be buying her cd's & attending alot of her concerts.

whitney's vocal range only extends from C below middle C (C3) to high C-sharp (C♯6), she can only belt out to high A (A5). that's not sufficient against charice's overall musicianship. charice's crescendo, fluidity, & inflection surpasses that of whitney. whitney would tell you that herself.

when whitney sings, it looks effortless, it is because she is applying less effort. when charice sings, she exerts more intensity, and so she gives more justice to the songs. i bought 2 of whitney's cassettes back in the days, but i'd have to go with charice on this one.
