@Libaro99 i love australia! i live there, but honestly they need to have a cry and move the fuck on. You don't see Ghana complaining and worse shit happened to them!
As I see it it's a goal. Yes there's contact between Schwarzer and the japanese player, but Schwarzer rams the japanese player, plus the japanese player didn't make an effort to touch the ball, therefore no offside.
@DarKOldemoR But the Japanese player has interfered with an opponent. However, he seems to be onside, so I think this is just typical Australian complaining.
which world cup year was this from o.o? and the finals? what!? JP actually made it to finals??? wtf? sorry i don't watch the world cups much so jw D:!
@narutovichigo the world cup you watch on TV after four years of waiting is what we call the World Cup finals because before reaching this stage of the competition, there is a qualification phase with over 200 countries participating, this is 2006 in germany. the group stages and the knock out stages are part of the world cup finals
@FrozLiam You are wrong. If the player intervenes in the goal it's still offside, like if a shot comes and a player is in front of the keeper in offside position and opens his legs, plus, he hits the keeper inside the keeper's area which is also a clear fault.
@MrGilles1990 It was a direct result of the hand ball though, he wouldn't have scored if it wasn't for the hand ball. Like the person in this video thinks this is a dirty goal, the guy who makes the "infringement" isn't the goal scorer. But if he wasn't there the keeper would have a much easier take and therefore no goal.
Dirty? Fucking typical whining Aussies. In the 80's they were men's men. Now they are the biggest pussies you are likely to come across. What happened to them?
watch again the replay from 0:40 to 0:44. The number 13 bumps into the keeper inside the goalmouth so the keeper is not able to reach the ball. According to the rules this is not allowed and the goal should not have counted. I really have no idea why so many people here seem to misinterprete it. At least I wouldn't call the goal dirty but unlucky for Australia.
1. not relevant in this situation! 2. the "first forward" (#9) touches the keeper AFTER #13 when it is too late for the keeper to reach the ball because of the collision with the player #13. If #13 tackles the keeper on purpose or not isn't relevant, too in this situation because he wasn't fouled by the Australian defender! According to the rules this is an irregualr goal. Just take another UNPREJUDICED look at the scene!
1. Why is it relevant for this situtaion how the match ended???
2. #13 was hit? Looks more like a soft touch by the Australian defender. There is no foul... And the crash with the #9 is not important anymore as the ball is no longer reachable for the keeper after the collision with #13.
So you stick to your view that it was the keepers fault, that he ran into the attacking players? Then I have to guess that you're kind of prejudiced because it's completely wrong.
Clearly the Keeper came out to get the ball, and two of the Japan players attacked him, so i think that is a clear foul. it looks like the japan players did it or propose.
na id say it was goalkeepers fault for moving around too much, does he expect ppl to move out of way for him the other team jus stopped him from being able to move where he wanted, if he stayed where he was on the line he prolly wudda saved it lol
I've the conclusion of this : If the Japanese did that volontarily, it would have been an unfair goal, but the japanese didn't even watched the keeper, he only watched the ball, we cant really blame him that the goalkeeper is on his way.
But, if a player unvolontarily breaks the leg of someone who was going to score, generally, it's a card, and a penalty, because he prevented a goal.
It's the same here, finally, he completely ejected the keeper. Hard decision, but certainly not a dirty goal.
We won the bloody game for fridge sake, who the duck remembers that goal.? How about "Cahill dun it" and "is't come to Cahillllllll" and don't forget "Aloisi....Aloisaai goal to Australia". FUCK
@Fallout3Follower if you can do what you want, america, then try to get back your former global super power status AND paying your money debts back to china hahaha you CAN'T do what you want because you don't have the money and weapon- and manpower anymore… also halt besser die klappe, es heißt fußball/football!
@fickah221 Whoa bro calm down, I didn't say anything like that to you. Way to be pathetic, and technically we could print money. And as for the power and manpower that's wrong. And google translate said that german was better hold the valve, it is soccer, football, so not sure what that means.
@clinthippy4 Well you know I don't have magic powers to detect sarcasm by reading bro. And his eyes were on the soccer ball the entire time, so either he's just good at this kind of thing or was trying to push the goalie. Knowing his vertical might help too. And the Autralian might have faked falling, I mean it wasn't that bad of a push.
@Fallout3Follower You're right. It's not like it was an atrocious foul or anything. It shouldnt have been a card not even a yellow. I agree there. But, it was obstruction.
@mbds42 the goalkeeper was standing still with his arms raised, the Japanese player ran into him. The Japanese player made no attempt to play the ball.
@sean19922k7 Think you are referring to the second Japanese player - Schwarzer (running towards the ball) runs into that player - that impact (a result of Schwarzer running into that player) takes him just a little to his left - just out of reach of the ball. When the second Japanese player collides with him the ball is already just past Schwarzer so had no effect on the goal. You have to watch the replay carefully from 0.40 to 0.44 to see this
@mbds42 He was in his right, he bumped the Japanese player in contest for the ball, but the 2nd play took him out with elbows, in no flight for the ball.
@TheLittleDerp Have a look again at 0.40 to 0.44 - the first collision takes him to his left, the second Japanese player collides with Schwarzer after the ball is already past him. To be honest you would have had a better shout for offside....
@giggsy1878 Doesnt matter if youre watching the ball its what you do with your body. You cant body check a keeper without touching the ball. Its a foul. Besides, look at #9 for japan starting @50 second of the video.
If a person can't see that this is a foul, they need to pick another sport because they don't know the rules of soccer. Maybe american football or rugby...
@giggsy1878 I suppose one could beat me in that argument but not about this video. No matter what you call the game, a foul is a foul. What about that time when Pele pulled out a Desert Eagle and fired his way, repeatedly through the Argentinian back 4? Too much protection these days.
Too much protection for keepers these days. If all you have to do is run into someone and flap your arms for a foul somethings seriously wrong. The player has every right to be there.
Whats dirty about this? The keeper runs out like a dickhead, clashes into someone, misses the ball and expects a free kick? Goalkeepers get too much protection, perfectly good goal

in expected the jap to ninja him to the ground or something....by australian standards of weak thats pathetic. maradona as hillger says is the dirtiest goal
How is it dirty? Yes, Japanese players went for the header and collided with Schwarzer, but Schwarzer is a big guy and a top goalkeeper. He shouldn't be outmuscled that easy.
well, for sure, clearly a foul there. obstruction against the goalkeeper. Yet, schwarzer should ram in there, jump and grab the ball. He should be able to bump those japs into pieces...
completely legal goal just a normal contact in the small area as japanese player was completely in sight of the ball no intention to block shcwarzer who mada an ipulsive decission
@Jonny188881 That wasn't the worst decision. It was just a surprise to everyone across the world that he did that. The ref did the right thing. He called the handball as a foul and Saurez was sent off, but Ghana didn't take advantage of it.

not as stupid as the 3 yellow cards, but still shouldn't have counted

How is it dirty? Yes, Japanese players went for the header and collided with Schwarzer, but Schwarzer is a big guy and a top goalkeeper. He shouldn't be outmuscled that easy.

This was so wrong!! That goalkeeper got obstructed by like three of them, then one of them knocked him over!! Clearly intentional!!!

how is that dirty ???? I've seen dirtier goals.
Schwarzer just mistimed his rushing-out
ArchangelMichael1991 1 week ago
well, for sure, clearly a foul there. obstruction against the goalkeeper. Yet, schwarzer should ram in there, jump and grab the ball. He should be able to bump those japs into pieces...
drifterworld1 1 week ago
completely legal goal just a normal contact in the small area as japanese player was completely in sight of the ball no intention to block shcwarzer who mada an ipulsive decission

The worst decision of the world cup was the suarez handball incident :P
Jonny188881 1 week ago
@Jonny188881 That wasn't the worst decision. It was just a surprise to everyone across the world that he did that. The ref did the right thing. He called the handball as a foul and Saurez was sent off, but Ghana didn't take advantage of it.
