  • It looks pretty good. Try keeping your hands still though (; And Your legs are getting pushed back a bit. Squeeze tight with your legs and keep them forward, or you will definetly lose balance. You look like your bending your back in the 2 point though, arch it so that you stay straight. It would help to look high up or at your next jump. (: I hope I helped.

  • Getting there. If you can, try to keep your hands steady. It will make your overall positioning look much better- it will also make Reilly more comfortable! You go into 2-point a tad early, when you do try to push your body down a bit more. Always keep your heels DOWN..When your heels are in te correct position, it allows your legs to grip the horse correctly, making your 2-point look better and more comfortable. You look great.

  • Hi Emily! I'm just going to pretend I'm your instructor.

You have a great posting trot, and a great approach to the jump. Your form was nearly perfect! You need to arch your lower back a bit more. Try getting into a two-point a few steps before the jump, and let your horse jump to you. Looking great! =)

  • Good for the height you're jumping. Be cautious to settle back into the saddle, not to fall back. :)

  • You're two-point isn't too bad. You have a few faults, but all of them quite common. You're pinching with your knees, which causes your lower leg to swing backwards and throws your center of gravity up over the pommel of the saddle and on Riley's shoulders, which impedes his movement and will make it harder for him to jump much higher. In order to correct this, really concentrate on pushing your heels down and forward during the jump and wait for him to lift you out of the saddle. :]

  • You two look really great otherwise!

P.S. If you're looking for a good place to get critiques, I would check out horseforum. com

  • the second jump was better.Your two point is really good!you just need to put your heels down and arch your back just a little other than that great. You have come so far from your first jump.

  • ok girly... you gotta push down in ur heels alott more.... umm u dnt need to go up on his neck at all. there's not a big difference at all between regualr seat and 2 point... u want to b hovering ovr the saddle rather than ovr his neck... gotta keep that back straight! and shoulders back! js! love ya! byee good luck

  • arch ur back more other then that good job!

  • i think you just really need to put all your weight in your heels, you'll balance much better. also, you should stay in the two point longer. your hands and everything else looks great otherwise :)

  • Try not to make your back so round when you go into the 2-point :) Other than that, you're a really good jumper!! Horse is pretty btw

  • getting thwer :) id say to try to keep ur leg more stable an a strater back :)

  • its getting there.Wehn riley lands, your usually down before hes down. You always want to stay in 2-point until all 4 of your horses feet touch the ground. You have a VERY nice release, but you arch your back to nuch.I do that alot to.and one other thing, when your approaching a jump, you seem to get ahead of him a bit to me.Wait until you feel his legs lifting up,then you get up.It looks relly good though:)

  • agree with many of the comments, but i notice you arch your back. A LOT. (i did the same thing C:) also you might want to stay up in 2 point for just about half a second (: hope that helps!

  • great! bareback will really help you or no stiirrups. You have the smae problem i did and I am still working on it. First your heels are level when you jump. You need to push yourself out of the saddle, but not over the pommel. Trotting while doing 2 point will help. Your legs also slide back alot so you want your knees to be holding on to the saddle. Other than that your postion is great an dso are your hands. Once you get back ino jumping again you will be amazing! :) this helped me

  • you do look amazing!!

work on keepin the center of gravity over your lower legs, aka, try to keep them still......hope helped a little ;) xx

  • You look amazing, but like everyone else has said, work on your lower leg like try thinking about pushing it forward ! And really try to keep your shoulders back. Another thing that really helped me was dont think about it to much! Just let the horse come to you. But you do look really good!

  • Get into your two point a tad earlier and stay in it later after you have jumped the jump it will aslo help to push your chest forward to give you better balance!:)

  • push your heels down and hug riley with your legs

  • Push your heel down, that will help keep your leg in place. Don't round your back so much, push your chest out and keep your sholders back! Another this is that your landing too soon, your jumps will feel so much better if you hold it for just a tad longer!

Otherwise great job and good luck :)

  • when you land don't lean back to much stay centered and steady .

    other than that well done!

  • push ur heels down a bit more, flatten ur back u look hunched ovr a little, dont lean as far up on his neck lean back a tiny tiny bit like an inch or 2 and dont push ur elbows into his neck as much but u look pretty good. i have been riding for 7 years and sometimes my position is terrible like im humched, as my trainer wld say i pop open and i shove my chin out haha u look pretty good :)

  • flatten your back push your heels down and keep ur elbows against his neck kind of:D not bad:D

  • Relax you back, push you butt back over the jump & that will keep your legs in place (: But you look very good!

  • release more and stay up longer

  • your two point is actually pretty good!

i don't really have a clue on how to say this, but coming down from the jump your back is kind of like jelly lol

just try and keep a nice straight, flat back and it'll look a lot better! :) hope i could help!

  • your leg swings back at the jump. mine does too and thats just about all i have been hearing lately lol you should do excersises to strengthen your legs. like 1 minute in two point 1 minute sitting and repeat. you also look like your jumping ahead, you should try to hold your position and let the horse jump up to you. Hope this helps :)

  • Your lower leg swings back you you go up, you arch your back in the landing and my trainer says if your shirt is not dirty (like hair XD) then you do not go down into your two point enough XD and bring your hands up a little bit hope this helps =)

  • not to sound mean, you have an akward ending to your two-point, you should wait for your horse to lift of the ground to two-point, and wait for him to land to sit out of the two-point. A little work with your legs and doing that and i think youll be fine:)

  • your leg was too far back, bring your chest up more (its not a huge jump no need for it) and your back looked like a turtle shell...i have the same problem...wen i was landing the jump....luckily it went away for me...you will definatley improve over time...but your getting there!!!

  • you look great :D just keep those shoulders back >< i noticed you hunch a bit~ that will improve your landing alot ~ hope to see more from you <3

  • arch your back more and work without your stirrups more to get your leg more solid against his side

  • you leg slipped back, bring you chest up, the jumps not 5foot! lol (its ok i used to over jump) and try rly hard not to let you back give out! 2nd time was much better with staying taller

  • its ok just try keeping ur heals down and ur chest out more and toughen ur leg ps i love ur horse

  • your snapping up try to stay down longer like maybe a couple strides after (to exaggerate) and then it will feel normal

  • really good but, don't lean so far in (that will make you to fall) and the 2 point is like almost sitting in the saddle but still keep your butt up (a little) . and keep your heels down a little more! really good job though! and don't post at a jump. (that is what my trainer says)

  • you guys are looking great but you need to shorten your stirrups more & work on pushing your heels down some more. it will help keep your leg in place. also try flattening your back a little more. other than that, you guys look gooood (:

  • your leg moves back slightly , shortening your stirrups should help with that . and straight your back out a little more . your arching it when your coming over the jump . its making you look more sloppy than you are . just be careful not to look stiff. other than that , thats all i see .

  • try to stick your butt out (LOL) raise you stirrups a bit and don't lean to foward!!

  • Shorten your stirrups a few holes, keep your back straight (you round it upon landing), good hands, VERY nice release! Your heels could be down just a smidge more, and your leg slipped back a bit because you pinched with your knee, so try and open up your knees a bit and sink your weight down into your heel instead of gripping with the legs. Try to fold from your hips a little softer/quieter. Make sure you wait for your horse to come to you. Just sit and wait to the fence. GREAT job!!! :D

  • your hands are pretty good. I'd say try to have a flatter back.

  • You look good! Although I'd say your stirrups could go up a few holes. This will help your keep your leg in place which will lead to better balance over the jump. :) Also, try not to pump your body towards him, wait for him to come up over the jump and follow along with his motion. My trainer always says for my upper body psition to "stick my butt out!" haha :P hope this helped!

  • You look pretty good, but try to stay with his motion a little, you were a little left behind it seems. And you also don't want to lean so much over the jump but more 2 point over you saddle if that makes sense. other wise looks pretty good.

  • It looks a bit early; try to stay in-stride with him, and two point on the "down beat"... as my trainer says :D You also don't need such a drastic two point for such a little jump, but otherwise it looks good.

  • It looks like you're two pointing a bit early, which is causing you to be a bit behind as you land. Riley knows what he's doing you don't need to jump for him ;) You guys are doing great though!

  • for a small jump like that you barely need to fold, just tuck your tummy slightly, because if he decides not to do it, you're already in the position to fall off. and you will find he will jump it much nicer if approached in canter:) x

  • Rather than just throwing yourself towards him, keep your legs foreword and at the girth and fold your upper body towards his neck, but keeping your weight in your heels rather than on his neck. Focus on keeping your beck straight and sitting back a bit later so you don't get left behind. :)

  • You need to have a flat back and your leg needs to be under you, and at the trot try to life less out of your saddle. Even in the two point stay back a little it's a tiny crossrail not a 5 ft jump lol.

  • not bad but you have a seriously huge release...it's not that bad and you looked a little like you were pushing and lifting him over the fence never let your leg slip back further than your girth. Another thing, stop hunching your back. For proper 2point you need to have a flat back, hand your hands need to be pretty even. Your hands and arms are actually pretty good, but it's really not that bad, stay in 2point longer and you should be good :)

  • push your heels down and legs more forward, close the hip angle a little and put ur butt a little further back and also flatten ur back a little more, its looking great!

  • 1. strenghen your balance and lower leg position with exercises like changing the lead in posting trot but instead of sitting 2 beats, stand 2 beats. also ride ALOT in a light seat position, putting all the weight in your heels instead of holding with your knees.

    2. When you jump don't force yourself forward, instead of thinking of going forward - think of staying in the same place (going with your horse) and just lean down a bit and let his neck come to YOU.

    3. Your hands a quite good :]

  • You're looking pretty good! I would suggest staying over longer after the jump and 'folding' with your hips more. You round your back and snap back up slightly. Hands are slightly pushy but good and your leg slides back. No stirrups can fix that! :P

  • You look good. :) I have the same problem with my lower leg and getting ahead of the saddle too much. Do you grip the saddle with your knees alot? Because that's what my problem is. My coach tells me to grip with my inner leg instead, so this might help you too. Other than that, maybe just stay in you're two-point a bit longer. :)

  • oh and you are sitting back in the saddle a bit too soon! :P

  • good! your lower leg shouldn't slip that far back (shorter stirrups will help and so will no stirrups) as well you're throwing yourself at Riley's neck, and its almost like you are standing in the stirrups instead of bending at your waist. Instead, you are hunching your back which is causing your butt to be out of the saddle a tad bit more than it should . your release and arm position are great! just remember your heels, dont hunch your back and your leg posiition :)

  • BEND UR HIPS its rilly good but bend ur hips abit more so ur uper bodys not forceing

  • you are pretty much throwing your body over the jump aka forcing. just have a soft 2 point and put lots of leg on before the jump and while your going over it. it will help you a lot

  • Really good Ok ur lower leg shouldn't move back this can be fixxed by shorttening ur sturrips or lower leg training then u need to like i dont wanna say lay straighter but u should be bunched up with ur back keep ur back straight and ur release is really good and it will get better when u fix ur back and ur heels lol dont forget about ur heels

  • I think you looked pretty good:) keep up the good work!
