it was kinda scary man. i havent been out there in a long time. last time i drove thru i was on my way to garrett...i was on my cell, and suddenly it went dead, and i got this creepy feeling in my gut. i didnt even realize i was out there until i saw the cedar canyon sign. man...i dont think i need to be going out there anymore. too spooky. and i have more stories, but dont wanna post them here...lol
there was the chimmney, and an empty basement there too. when we got to the bridge...we cut the engine. the superstition was if u shut your car off, it wont start. well..it wouldnt start. we all tried it and when we lifted the hood, there was a frog burning on the engine. the guys pushed the car off the bridge, and it started up. that was enough to make us get outta there. But...while we were driving down the rode..his car shifted to the right reallly freaking hard, and smashed us in the trees

ok ok...i have had some scary experiences out there. the first one was i was a passenger in the back seat. my friend christi and some guy was driving. he ran the stop sign, out of nowhere a car came and hit us. i had busted the window out with my head. over 150 stitches. and an upside down cross laid on my forhead. very spooky. a year later...me , my friend and her b/f and his friend went back out there on the date of my accident. the guys went in the old what i think was a school house,
i have gone to look for the chimney a couple of times and im pretty sure its gone. corner of coldwater and cedar conyon rd correct? can u give a better description of where it is
@kevantheman35 the supposed location is on Cedar Canyons Rd. You go north on Auburn Rd, and turn off onto Cedar Canyons Rd. That is the easiest way to go because it is just on the left as you get onto Cedar Canyons. If you go there from Coldwater, it will be on your right just before you get to Auburn Rd. It is up on a hill and the last time I was there you can just see a chimney, which is now just their BBQ pit.
god damnit ... can you tell me where this cemtery is? me and some buddies have been trying to find it FOREVER .. i live in fort wayne .. i live of Rothman and St. Joe Rd ... is it out by homestead or is it off that cedar canyons rd?
The chimney isn't gone, I don't live far from there at all.. The lady was real, they murdered her in the early 1980s not letting her out of the house. And, Kevin letting you know, don't fake locate that is lame and you should done the real location, but that isn't lame, plus there are more legends then that.
@Blakewiccan whether its true or not, the real location is rather boring and uneventful so I faked the location to make it more interesting. Not to mention the fact that its private property there and I doubt the current owners would appreciate people wandering around with video cameras.
You're saying the chimney is gone now, and that it's actually a BBQ...but I live a few houses away from it, and it's not a BBQ. It's the original chimney... They use it as a BBQ, I believe, the people who live on the hill now, but it's the original chimney. I've always wanted to ask them if they get scared when they use it...
You don't know that for certain. It's definitely a chimney, so if it's not from a house that burned down, I want to know how else it could have ended up alone on that hill. You can do a Google Earth look at the house that stands near it now and see the chimney. Then change the date to 1998 on the map. The new house is gone. The chimney, however, isn't. What kind of house has its barbecue built before it is?
so i tried to find it friday i was on the right road and stuff but it was so dark we couldnt find the chimney so we could get out, any help with locating it?
I live in fort wayne and was there. Its only scary when your at the end of the road in the dark. Its usually extremly quiet. Other than that theres nothing. I saw a red flashing light tho thats it....but uhm can you tell me exactly where devils hollow is i cant find it anymore lol
we ended up gong to the wrong place... the one we went to was the one by dupont road i dont rmeember the nam elike river creek canyon so sumthing like that we jus tfound out that the real ones by homestead
actually the real "Devils Hollow" is not near homestead. It is on Cedar Canyons Road. on Auburn Road. Way on other side of the county as Homestead. That is where the house was originally. There is another sotry that is called the same thing that for some reason involves Homestead. But there is nothing there that is part of the original story. If you want I can give you directions to the real location.
well the original house is gone now from a fire. but it was on top of the first hill when you first turn onto the road. It isnt as creepy as the story says once you get there
yeah we thought so there is a path to the lef tof the road by the houses but we explored more next to the bridge my gf was freaking out becuase she thought she found orbs
yea we went there once and got the idea for a movie. But since its all private property we knew we couldnt film there. So we did it in another town and used different locations
yeha all those freaking yellow signs on all the trees are annoying. :D but do u know of any other spooky places or abandoned houses in fort wayne for us to explore !!!
Wow, that is one really creepy cemetery. I hope you guys get evps! I got evps on one of my vids. Accept it was at a haunted restaurant. You should check it out :)
Can't wait to see the whole movie you're making. What you have so far with the story, cemetery, and music, is cool as hell. Are you from Fort Wayne? I live next to the Arlington Park neighborhood, but I'm in Muncie right now at Ball State University.
I've heard of a lot of Fort Wayne ghost stories, but do you have anymore that are for real? I've been to many "haunted" sites in the city, but it's just ended up as a wild goose chase. I go at night, but still never see anything.
Close to that old house site, there is a road with another ghost story. The road dips down like a valley, and you are supposed to park at the bottom and turn your car off. Sitting there in silence, your car is supposed to start rolling up the road hill as if pulled by a force. That's the story that I heard was called "Devil's Hollow."
Where that woman's house used to be, there is only the chimney left. At the top of that chimney, there is a red lighted movement sensor that turns on a bright light to any people that know about the ghost story and want to check it out. I only saw it from the road at night though. I never saw the old stairs where you were though, or the cemetery. Maybe I was looking from the wrong road. I don't know that area of town that well, and it was night.
Nice to see a video about the ghost stories where I live. I'm from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and I've been to pretty much every "haunted" site I know of in our city. I've been to Devil's Hollow, too. I've never seen that cemetery you are in though.
the main reason we decided to do filming not in the actual spot is because the actual site is mostly private property now owned by another family so it wouldn't be easy to make a movie there.
Yeah, I could imagine it would be hard. On the actual hill where the site is, there are other houses up there next to it where people actually still live. Plus, that movement sensor I was talking about. I saw the red light from the road. I was too afraid to investigate because I didn't want to get caught and get in trouble for trespassing.
it was kinda scary man. i havent been out there in a long time. last time i drove thru i was on my way to garrett...i was on my cell, and suddenly it went dead, and i got this creepy feeling in my gut. i didnt even realize i was out there until i saw the cedar canyon sign. man...i dont think i need to be going out there anymore. too spooky. and i have more stories, but dont wanna post them here...lol

we are going there soon to perform an investigation....is the chimney still there???
from07till 2 years ago
we didnt film any of this at the real location because the real location is very lame.
It is just a road with houses now, and you can't really spend much time there without the cops being called since it is all private property now.
The chimney is on the hill, but it is not actually a chimney. It is a smokestack to a outdoor BBQ pit at one of the houses.
The story was blown way out of proportion, so we did the filming in an unrelated location.
kevinthegreat001 2 years ago
sooo this pretty much is fake?
dam it
where is the actual house? !
Panditha666 2 years ago
the story is real...but the locations in the video are not.
the real location is on Cedar Canyons Rd north of Ft Wayne. It is a new house now and is all private property.
