LA just voted the #1 most overpriced city. Check the list on yahoo news and see if your cities are listed. It's most overpriced because it's the most epic. I've travelled the world and LA is an epic place. I go out in t-shirt and shorts in the winter. Meanwhile you all living elsewhere are freezing your boobs and balls off. I'll stick with the overproced city cause I save on winter gear anyway. :P
Excellent interview thank you for this. I agree with quite a bit of what he is saying especially on the stock picking vs fund, greater chance at profit vs safety. VERY important to understand the company you might invest in.
I've done lendingclub also. In addition to getting a good return I also got a feeling in helping people tackle their debt.
try to see if you have anything around your house you can sell or seriously contiplate stating your own business. If not get with a excellent resume writer and have him or her fine tune your resume. Use the social networks like Linkedn, Facebook or Twitter to your advantage whether that be searching for a job or putting your own business out there.
@johnnyfucking2time Stay on your job until you get out of debt. I would get a second job in order to pay off this debt quickly as possible. Hey, at least you will be debt free sooner as you think but never leave your job without a backup plan..especially if you're in debt.
@johnnyfucking2time If you're going to start your own business, I'll advise online affiliate businesses. They're so cheap that homeless people can afford them but the returns can be immense. Of course there are lots and lots of gimmicks or get rich quick schemes out there, you have to be careful in choosing. I know some that have been tested and trusted. Give me a shout if interested. Online business helped me abandon 9-5 too. Cheers!!
@GraceAnnHawkins According to my high level advisor friend from big dick wallstreet, this guy is full of shit here mutualfund wise. The formula is very simple. Advisors make it sound difficult. There's a basic inside formula that smart people use. The fact he's into mutual funds is a sign of a lower level dude. Should emulate a mutual fund instead. At all the top wallstreet firms the 101 is "never let your friends and family get into mutual funds". Question. Fail. Sorry. LOL. :)
@mountaincat8 Right now nothing. Keep investing based on the information you have available to you today. I always tell my clients to be flexible. If things need to change we will, otherwise we invest based on our needs. With 25 years ahead of you, you must invest for the long term.
David Bach is his favorite financial adviser I already looked it up and I think that should be in your description headed to the library soon as this comment. This is an incredible interview. I wish you had brought up the Prius thing with him vs a used $5K car and how the car will save you more in fuel than the car cost and how it is an insurance against both fuel shortages and overnight price escalations. Great book choice Rich Dad Poor Dad. His book is Soldier of Finance that is a GREAT NAME !
An emergency fund is dependent on where the economy is what your expenses are and what are you willing to tolerate. If you will live off the resources of a Ultralight back packer then you can get by on less for an emergency fund. Another thing it is relevant on your debt. What are your basic minimum expenses. We must have a car there is no way I can do without one as such we know we need fuel maintenance insurance etc. The more efficient your ride the less you have to save same with homes?
18:00 where he said he and his wife shares finances is so true. I know people that have separate accounts and they have his $ her $ and I never understood how they could be so dumb. Reason is they do things that cost extra $ they are not a true team. My wife and I do everything together all the $ goes in the same pot. I don't trip if she wants something I consider trivial she the same with me but we discuss every purchase. We have a tad bit more on insurance than others we know as a result.
@cdltpx - team bullshit. my wife wants to get a joint account. I want a joint pussy. LOL. Just kidding. Seriously I'm nervous about this joint account shit. Anyone outthere with bad experience pls speak up and talk me out of it. LOL. :(
@judutchinski you don't have a joint account with your wife? Do you trust her if not why are you with her? Two people have to be on board financially, if you want to finish strong.
@mohammedabshaun - I'm not worried about her wasting my money. My point was that I can waste money anymore once she hijacks everything!!! She's extremely financial saavy but to a point waaaay beyond most people. She is very cheap. LOL. Already she logs into my account and manages my bills. We got married in 2011 and she just finally got her name changed last week. We had to wait for immigration otherwise it would have happened already.
@judutchinski I have friends that are married that have 3 accounts. His, Hers, Joint. The joint account pays the bills and covers their necessities and larger longer term goals. Each transfers their share from their account into the joint. Then each one has their own money that they can spend as they wish. It removed a lot of stress and arguments.
@Pullingmyselfup that sounds like a great way to approach it. I think we have intended to keep separate accounts as well. I trust my wifes vision for the future. she sometimes has to be pitched for me to spend my own money. I could never get away with adultery if i tried. She's tracking my account and every ATM transaction. LOL. But I have nothing to hide except for a few self help books, trade magazines, liquor purchases which she does not approve. But i buy anyway. ROFLMaO.
I heard that the graffiti artist's stock is worth 200 Million. Damn..

your videos are fine, you could use either a good webcam that is stationary or a tripod and turn on a light, this video is a bit dark.

Jeff, the USA has a very large deficiet. What changes would you make to a retirement portfolio (25 years away) to account for this risk?
