This is possibly the most uplifting metal song I've heard in a long time. Good stuff. Stu makes a good replacement for Barlow, as much as I hate to say it. Hes a very good vocalist.

It's gonna sound a bit harsh, but I think Jon Schaffer is a bit of a douchebag with guitarist envy... don't get me wrong, he's a great songwriter and has a killer right hand, but this video is just like the Alive in Athens DVD where you barely get to see the lead guitarist play a solo... a bit ridiculous. I really don't want to watch Jon chugging along while the other guy is shredding it.

You guys are fucking idiots, of course this is power metal. GOOD power metal is very, very similar to the classic heavy metal of Iron maiden and Judas Priest because that style, along with speed metal and early thrash, formed the basis for its sound. Iced earth were one of the bands that helped establish the subgenre! Just because power metal has an undeserved bad reputation (mostly thanks to Dragonforce) that doesn't mean you need to be in denial.
