@TheParadisis Mexican. I say this because in the movie, one of the first scenes has to do with the citizens voting on Californian...schtuff. Also the architecture of the building seems more southern USA/Mexican. Not very solid proof, but hey you could always Google it.
@TheParadisis Both Don Diego de la Vega and Alejandro Murrieta are from California. From the setting and introduction, it can be assumed that it takes place around 1820-1830, about a decade or two after the Mexican War of Independence. But to answer your question, Mexican.
@evilnekowantznobs They have the same style of clothes black suit with a mask and cape, they have iconic fighting styles ( sword and whip, martial arts and gadgets), they're hideouts are both in caves and they have transport everyone recognizes Batmobile and Toranado the horse
If people actually bothered to do research, The whole Dark Knight and Batman in general was based on Zorro! Another thing, he's Spanish and a quarter Native American, i'm sure.
@NyanKittyGal Yeah, Batman was inspired by the 1920 film, The Mark Of Zorro. I grew up as a Batman fan and started to like Zorro a bit later on. It's quite crazy how strikingly similar the two are.
And notice how the animated series, Batman Beyond, is inspired by this film; Bruce Wayne takes a young Terry McGinnis under his wing to resurrect Batman after being sidelined for 20 years.
Now, that's what I call a soundtrack...

I had no idea that James Horner did the music for the two Zorro movies. No wonder I liked the score so much.

If only there were a Zorro now!
Mexico has a lot to offer the world, but the bad guys have turned that place into a mess.

@MisterMeddle except Zorro doesn't use fear to scare his enemies instead he toys with them
DRisLegend200919 5 months ago
@DRisLegend200919 That aspect comes from the other inspiration, the 1926 film The Bat. But there's definitely much more Zorro to Batman.
